Job Description POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Front of House Manager of SummerStage, Central Park, the Ushers are responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests throughout our venue in Central Park. Ushers are assigned various positions throughout the venue including: ticket scanning, VIP/Membership hospitality, seating assistants, and greeting/escorting at the entrance. Assigned positions vary from show to show. Job Description The Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund), a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment, seeks an Activities Coordinator for The Schermerhorn to enhance the lives of residents through the development and facilitation of a robust weekly activities program supporting community integration, socialization, self-care and mental health wellness. The Schermerhorn is a unique residence housing low-income professional in the arts, as well as formerly homeless adults and persons living with HIV/AIDS or struggling with addiction and mental health challenges. In cooperation with the onsite Entertainment Community Fund social work team and partner agencies CUCS and Breaking Ground, the Activities Coordinator develops, designs and implements activities and provides resources to support the needs and interests of the residents. Programs are held in person. RESPONSIBILITIES The Activities Coordinator will work under the direction of the Manager of Arts Center and Resident Services and in collaboration with onsite social work staff, partner agencies and Mark O’Donnell Theater staff. Collaboratively this position assesses the interests, skills and needs of Schermerhorn residents to develop therapeutic activities designed specifically for the building’s special needs population, while maintaining the current calendar of options and traditional annual events. Programming currently offers job training and skills workshops, social recreation, seasonal terrace gardening, health and wellness workshops, cultural and arts-related programming, group off-site trips and holiday dinner celebrations. Activities are facilitated by the Coordinator and/or paid and volunteer group leaders. The Activities Coordinator also serves as a tenant contact for community questions and supports the Manager in the operations of the onsite multi-purpose performance venue, The Mark O’Donnell Theater. They will also work in partnership with other Entertainment Community Fund activity programs and collaborate with Entertainment Community Fund social workers and partner agencies to address resident concerns and community needs as they arise. The Activities Coordinator works closely with the Manager on all administrative responsibilities related to the program. Administrative responsibilities include maintaining and distributing a regular activities schedule, monthly calendar development, program and office supply maintenance, sourcing of program facilitators, coordinating food and décor orders for events, arranging transportation for outings, processing monthly expense reports and recordkeeping for the program while maintaining current policies and procedures which guide the program and reflect the overall values and goals of The Entertainment Community Fund. They will coordinate all aspects of the volunteer and intern operations. RESPONSIBILITIES The Project Manager for the Broadway Flu Shot Program will oversee daily operations of the program, including developing and maintaining a database of all Broadway theaters, select off-Broadway theaters and related companies; including stage and company managers, as well as company office staff. The Project Manager will work with providers and practice management from the Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts to coordinate and schedule flu shot events with stage managers; market the program to company cast and crew and troubleshoot any problems that arise in the process. The Project Manager will accompany the provider to each flu shot event (generally 60-70 during the season); promote the Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts and the services of the Entertainment Community Fund; assist the provider with set up/break down; manage patient registration and volume; and distribute forms and promotional materials. The Project Manager will be responsible for compiling data and financials required for monthly reporting, and for creating a final report for management and the grantor. In addition, the Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating 4 free flu shot days for the entertainment community at the Friedman Health Center in collaboration with Karpas Health, a public health program of Mount Sinai. Job Description POSITION SUMMARY CPF is seeking to hire experienced players, coaches or teachers to teach free beginner tennis lessons to children and seniors in NYC parks. Lessons for seniors are typically held in the Spring and Fall on weekday mornings. Surveyors will be paid $17/hour, plus $2 for each survey collected beyond 15 surveys. Performances usually run for 2 hours. Job Description POSITION SUMMARY City Parks Education has been offering interdisciplinary environmental education programs in schools and parks since 1992. The Coastal Classroom summer program focuses on coastal ecology, water quality, urban waterfront restoration and preservation on the NYC waterfront, with sites in Hallets Cove in Astoria and Kaiser Park in Coney Island. Coastal Classroom will provide summer programming for up to 30 middle school students at each of the 2 locations, using site-specific inquiry-based lessons to stimulate meaningful learning experiences in their own communities. Job Description POSITION SUMMARY The SummerStage Citywide festival is a 9 week free performing arts festival taking place in 11 different parks throughout New York City’s five boroughs. The Box Office Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient operation of the SummerStage VIP/Guest/Press check-in and Box Office areas and provide high quality customer service. The Box Office representative must be personable, comfortable speaking to the public, organized and responsible.
