The Center for Jewish-Inclusive Learning (CJIL), a division of The Jewish Education Project, engages with K–12 schools to proactively educate for a society free of antisemitism. By partnering with leaders in school systems and with content providers specializing in topics related to the Jewish people, CJIL helps bring engaging, accurate, and culturally competent instruction about the Jewish people to public and independent schools and fosters learning environments that are inclusive of Jewish students, families, and staff. Position Overview The Jewish Education Project seeks a full-time Director of K-12 Program Implementation to play a critical leadership role on the CJIL team. Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the Director of K-12 Program Implementation will develop and execute a plan to broaden and deepen delivery of professional development, resources and direct-to student experiences from partner content providers across districts, school buildings and associations. Through partnerships with leaders in districts, school buildings and associations like the UFT, the Director of K-12 Program Implementation will deliver broader and deeper professional development, resources and direct to student experiences about the Jewish people and Israel. The Director will lead a growing team responsible for engaging district and school building leaders in New York City Public Schools (NYCPS), as well as Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk County public schools. They will serve as the primary point of contact for NYCPS educational leaders and will supervise others in doing so in the NYC suburbs and within NYC as the team expands. The Director of K-12 Program Implementation will also contribute to strategic planning and development related to outreach, evaluation, and scaling of CJIL’s work in NYCPS and neighboring school systems. They will collaborate with colleagues across The Jewish Education Project to ensure alignment, communication, and shared success. This position is ideal for either a seasoned public-school leader or educational content provider with experience at the district or central office level or for a community organizer with proven experience impacting system change. Candidates should be passionate about instructional excellence and inclusive school culture. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of how large school systems operate, strong relationship-building skills, and a strategic mindset oriented toward creative problem-solving and results. Key Responsibilities Partnership Development and Relationship Management • Serve as the primary liaison between CJIL and NYCPS district and school leaders, ensuring consistent, responsive, and values-aligned communication., • Build andmaintainrelationships that foster collaboration, trust, and long-term engagement with CJIL’s work., • Identifyopportunities for CJIL to partner with schools and districts on professional learning, pilot programs, curriculum implementation, and student experiences., • Facilitate focus groups, advisory sessions, and other engagement opportunities to surface needs, gather insights, and inform CJIL’s program design., • Represent CJIL at meetings, conferences, and events with educational leaders andsystempartners., • Work collaboratively with the CJIL team to ensure educational partners’ needs aremetand our engagement has its intended impact. Implementation and Assessment • Collaborate with CJIL leadership to develop and execute outreach and partnership strategies aligned with the team’s goals., • Develop and execute a plan tobroaden and deepen delivery of professional development,resourcesand direct-to student experiencesfrom partner content providersacrossdistricts, schoolbuildingsand associations., • Manage timelines, deliverables, and documentation related todevelopment and execution of a plan to broaden and deepen delivery, • Use data and feedback from districts,schools,and educational content partnersto inform continuous improvement and growth strategies., • Share insights from the field to strengthen CJIL’s understanding of school system needs and priorities., • Contribute to planning for the evaluation and scaling of CJIL’s work across the NYCPS landscape., • Monitor progress, track outcomes, and provide recommendations for improvement. Program and Event Leadership • Co-design and help leadCJIL-sponsoredschool and district-level professional development, conferences, and other events., • Facilitate partnership between educational content providers and school system leadership for the delivery of programs by educational content providers, • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure events and initiatives are well executed and achieve desired outcomes., • Collaborate with the CJIL team and other departmentson communication and evaluation related to programs and events. Evaluation • Contribute to planning for the evaluation and scaling of CJIL’s work across the NYCPS landscape., • Monitor progress, track outcomes, and provide recommendations for improvement. Experience, Qualifications, and Competencies The ideal candidate is highly motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and tech savvy. They are comfortable with a start-up culture and able to juggle multiple projects, people, and priorities. The right candidate is an experienced educational leader who combines a deep understanding of public-school systems with excellent interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and organizational acumen.
