This role primarily supports pediatric patient populations and works collaboratively with physicians and clinical teams to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care. Key Responsibilities * Perform echocardiograms in accordance with established protocols and physician orders * Obtain high-quality cardiac ultrasound images for accurate diagnostic interpretation * Prepare patients for procedures and clearly explain the examination process * Maintain accurate patient records and complete required documentation * Ensure proper operation, care, and routine maintenance of ultrasound equipment * Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and patient care standards * Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare staff to support optimal patient outcomes Required Skills & Experience * Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Echo Technician / Sonographer Preferred Skills & Experience * Experience performing stress echocardiography * Pediatric cardiac sonography experience strongly preferred Education Requirements Required: * Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist training program (including military training, if applicable) Certifications & Licensure Required (one of the following): * Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) – ARDMS, or * Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) – CCI Additional Requirement: * BLS (AHA) certification For more details reach at or Call / Text at 516-587-6677. The technologist will support physicians in evaluating cardiac structure and function while ensuring patient safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to clinical protocols. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities * Perform comprehensive diagnostic echocardiography procedures. * Acquire high-quality cardiac ultrasound images for physician interpretation. * Identify and document abnormal findings appropriately. * Assist physicians with cardiac diagnostic procedures as needed. * Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout all examinations. Patient Care & Safety * Prepare and properly position patients for cardiac imaging studies. * Clearly explain procedures and address patient questions or concerns. * Adhere to infection control and safety standards. Equipment & Documentation * Operate cardiac ultrasound equipment in accordance with departmental guidelines. * Ensure accurate image storage and documentation in medical records. * Maintain a clean, organized, and functional work environment.
