Job DescriptionCompany Description The Pet Doctor is a two-doctor general practice, small animal & some exotics veterinary hospital. We offer a wide range of services to provide the best care for our patients including Preventative Care, Urgent Care & Emergency Services, Digital Radiology, High Speed Dentistry, Ultrasound, Laser Therapy, In-House Laboratory and Dental Imaging. As pet owners ourselves, we know firsthand how important a pet is to their family! And with more than 30 years proudly serving the veterinary needs of pets and owners in our community, our client's pets are family to us as well. We are looking to add a passionate and motivate LVT to our dedicated medical care team! Our hours of operation are: • Monday & Tuesday: 8am-8pm, • Wednesday & Thursday: 9am-7pm, • Friday: 8am-8pm, • Saturday: 9am - 4pm for boarding pickup Job duties include, but are not limited to: Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management. Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases. Ultrasound Technician Ultrasound Technicians balance patient interaction and technological performance with a firm knowledge of anatomy and pathology by working cohesively with our Provider teams. The Ultrasound Technologist plays a critical role in the diagnostic imaging team by performing high-quality ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions. This position requires the technologist to operate sophisticated ultrasound equipment to capture images of patients’ internal organs, tissues, and blood flow with precision and care. The technologist must ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure while adhering to established protocols and standards. They are responsible for accurately documenting findings and collaborating closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support effective patient care. Ultimately, the Ultrasound Technologist contributes to timely and accurate diagnoses that directly impact treatment decisions and patient outcomes. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound Technology program. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent credential. Valid state licensure or certification as required by the employing facility or jurisdiction. Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound imaging. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with specialized ultrasound procedures such as vascular, obstetric, or cardiac sonography. Additional certifications in specialty areas (e.g., Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)). Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and image archiving software. Prior experience working in a hospital or outpatient imaging center setting. Bilingual abilities or experience working with diverse patient populations.
