We’re seeking a Delivery Operations Manager who leads with empathy, stays calm under pressure, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment. 🧭 Position Overview The Delivery Operations Manager oversees all daily delivery operations, including performance management, safety compliance, and coordination with Amazon station leadership. This role is hands‑on, highly reliable, people‑focused, and requires the ability to manage 50–60 delivery associates per shift while maintaining a positive, supportive team culture. The role starts and ends each day in Carteret, NJ, with occasional travel to NYC operations as needed based on business demands. Success requires strong multitasking, prioritization, problem‑solving, and the patience and empathy needed to coach a diverse team. 🛠️ Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Culture • Lead, motivate, and support a team of 50–60 delivery associates per shift, • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and fairness in all coaching and feedback, • Build a strong team culture rooted in accountability, respect, and teamwork, • Conduct daily stand‑ups, performance reviews, and on‑road ride‑alongs Operational Excellence • Oversee dispatch, route assignment, and real‑time delivery execution, • Monitor delivery metrics and proactively resolve issues, • Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast‑moving environment, • Maintain accurate records for attendance, and performance Safety & Compliance • Enforce Amazon DSP safety standards and company policies, • Conduct safety trainings, audits, and corrective actions, • Investigate incidents and complete required reporting, • Maintain DOT qualification and ensure compliance with all DOT standards Logistics & Problem Solving • Coordinate with Amazon Station Leadership to ensure smooth operations, • Troubleshoot route delays, vehicle issues, and customer escalations, • Manage fleet readiness, including inspections and maintenance scheduling, • Stay hands‑on and ready to jump in wherever needed, including driving when required 📌 Required Qualifications • Ability to drive/learn to drive a 26‑ft box truck safely and confidently, • Must pass a 4‑panel drug screening, • Valid driver’s license.
