About Us: Maggie’s Mindful Playground brings yoga, art, music, Zumba, and mindfulness directly to children, teens, and adults of all abilities. We specialize in serving families in the OPWDD Self-Direction program, providing accessible, inclusive wellness experiences at home and in the community. Program Details & Pay Structure: • Independent Contractor (1099), • Compensation: 50/50 teacher–company split, • Payment: Monthly on the 24th, after attendance sheets and invoices are submitted on the 1st of the following month., • Bring your own client? Split increases to 60/40 Yoga Rates (Teacher receives 50%): Kids (4–12): • 30 mins – $75, • 45 mins – $90 Teens & Adults: • 30 mins – $100, • 45 mins – $120, • 60 mins – $140 What You’ll Do (Yoga Instructor) • Design and deliver customized yoga sessions tailored to individual client goals, fitness levels, and health considerations., • Track progress regularly and adjust programs accordingly to ensure continuous improvement and motivation., • Maintain professional communication with clients regarding scheduling, program updates, and opportunities., • Adapt lessons for sensory, developmental, or communication differences., • Provide simple progress notes or at-home suggestions., • Ensure attendance sheets are signed each session., • Submit monthly attendance + invoice on the 1st. Requirements (Yoga Instructor) • Yoga Teaching Certification (required), • Experience working with children/teens of all abilities., • Must have experience working with children/adults with special needs or disabilities., • Excellent teaching skills with the ability to motivate and engage clients of all ages and fitness levels., • Reliable transportation to Great Neck, NY., • Ability to create inclusive, flexible lessons., • Comfortable teaching 1:1 in family homes., • Professional, reliable, patient, and kind., • Willing to complete background/reference checks., • Passion for promoting health and wellness through active engagement and positive reinforcement., • Experience with neurodiverse learners (autism, ADHD, sensory needs, intellectual disabilities)., • Knowledge of child development, behavior supports, or adaptive teaching.
