Our client is hiring a Food Service Worker to join their kitchen team! You’ll help prepare and serve meals for students, ensuring a positive dining experience. Some food service experience is a plus. Location: Albany Pay Range: $16.50 Position Summary The Food Service Worker performs a variety of tasks in preparing, serving, and maintaining food service operations. You’ll be responsible for helping with food prep, serving customers, operating a register or POS system, and keeping a clean, safe workspace. * Prepare and serve food and beverages according standards and recipes * Set up and restock service areas, beverage stations, and condiment bars * Operate cash register/POS system, handle transactions accurately, and provide friendly customer service * Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and dining spaces * Follow all food safety and hygiene guidelines (including temperature logs and labeling) * Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and waste removal as needed * Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth service * Perform other related duties as assigned by management * Previous food service or customer service experience preferred, but not required — training provided * Ability to follow directions and safety procedures * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment * Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods * Availability to work varied shifts, including some evenings, weekends, or holidays * Free or discounted meals during shifts If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity. Follows up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests., • Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients. Advises guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested; accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences.
