Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Electrophysiology Technician, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 11/15/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Unit Description – Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Type of Care: • The Electrophysiology Lab specializes in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures focused on electrical conduction disorders and structural heart abnormalities., • Provides advanced care for patients undergoing ablation, device implantation, and electrophysiological mapping., • Day shift: 4x10 hours (06:45–17:15), Monday through Friday., • Call required for nights, weekends, holidays, and emergencies., • Prepare and assist in complex EP procedures including ablations, pacemaker/ICD insertions, Watchman, and LAA closures., • Perform hemodynamic monitoring, arrhythmia recognition, and electrophysiological mapping., • Scrub and circulate during procedures, maintaining sterile technique and managing access sites., • Operate specialized equipment including recording systems, mapping software, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound., • Monitor patient responses, document procedures accurately in Xper (transitioning to Epic), and ensure all safety protocols are followed., • Support cardiologists and electrophysiologists during interventions, ensuring precise data collection and device functionality., • EP Studies: Arrhythmia induction, conduction studies, cardiac mapping, ablations, cardioversions, and device programming., • Interventional Cardiac Procedures: Pacemaker/ICD insertion, right and left heart caths, ASD closures, and LAA closures., • Monitoring: Hemodynamics, EKG/ECG interpretation, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias., • Scrub & Circulating Duties: Equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)., • BLS, • ACLS, • Minimum 1 year of Electrophysiology or Cardiac Cath Lab experience required., • Must be able to independently perform and assist in EP procedures., • Documentation System: Xper (transitioning to Epic), • Multidisciplinary collaboration with cardiologists, anesthesia, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams., • Location: Health First – Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, FL, • Facility Type: Acute Care / Cardiac Specialty Hospital, • Scrubs: Any solid color or hospital-provided., • Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)., • Maintain high technical competence in EP lab procedures, equipment operation, and safety standards., • Ensure accuracy in documentation and procedural integrity under pressure., • Guaranteed contracted hours., • All RTO must be submitted prior to offer., • Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers.
