    Role Overview We are looking for a proactive and reliable Virtual Assistant who is fluent in English, possesses strong communication skills, and has a basic understanding of software development concepts. This role will primarily support business development and client-facing communication in the U.S. market.     About the Opportunity Sigma Global is expanding its market into the US and growing its pool of senior full-stack engineers who can own both the technology and the client communication around it. As a Full Stack Engineer (TypeScript, React, Python and FastAPI), you will own feature development from initial concept through launch, crafting high-quality code across our TypeScript/React frontend and Python/FastAPI backend, writing clear technical specifications that translate business needs into robust solutions, and acting as a key technical communicator for US-based stakeholders by driving design discussions, documenting decisions, and keeping cross-functional teams aligned as the stack and product evolve. What You'll Do • Lead technical communication with US-based stakeholders by writing specs, facilitating design discussions, and documenting decisions across the stack, • Own end-to-end feature development—oversee the entire product lifecycle from initial idea to launch, ensuring a cohesive flow from backend to frontend, • Craft high-quality code—produce clear and efficient code, actively engage in code reviews, and champion technological excellence, • Write tech specs—translate business needs into creative and technically robust solutions, • Engage with cross-functional partners—collaborate closely with design, product, and stakeholders to drive the success of the project, • Document thoroughly—create comprehensive technical documentation, simplifying the onboarding process for newcomers, • Refine best practices—proactively seek and implement improvements in engineering and organizational workflows, • Drive engineering planning and processes—participate in sprint planning, effort estimation, capacity planning, and release management, • Architect and evolve the overall stack—guide technology decisions and stack improvements; anticipate scaling challenges Nice to Have • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior role, • Frontend experience: TypeScript, React, • Backend experience: Python and FastAPI, • Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL), • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, especially GitHub Actions, • Growth mindset: able to quickly learn new languages, frameworks, and more, • Strong written and verbal communicator in English, • Exceptional comfort with communication-heavy work: specs, design docs, status updates, and stakeholder alignment Compensation • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, performance, and geographic location, • Opportunity for increased compensation and expanded responsibilities based on contributions and impact Sigma Global is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates regardless of background or experience.
