As a Trading Operator at Moeve, you will be responsible for the execution of the full life of the deal in the biofuels supply chain – ensuring efficient and compliant execution of trades covering FAME, HVO, SAF, POME, UCO, ETHANOL and other advanced feedstocks. Your role will be to manage all physical operations from load port to delivery, preventing profit leakage and actively identifying optimization opportunities. The Responsibilities We’ll Trust You With As a Trading Operator (Biofuels), you will: • Ensure flawless execution of contracts and charter parties, aligned with EU RED II/III, REACH regulations, and Moeve’s HSSE standards., • Manage biofuel and feedstock cargoes (tankers, trucks, barges, rail, terminals), preventing stock-outs or tank-tops and ensuring scheduling integrity., • Handle off-spec issues, cargo readiness, biofuels blending coordination, and sustainability documentation (ISCC, mass-balance, CoA, PoS)., • Guarantee timely issuance, transfer and validation of ISCC Proof of Sustainability (PoS), critical for compliance, settlement and traceability., • Actively defend the P&L by minimizing demurrage, avoiding operational inefficiencies, and optimizing blending and logistics opportunities., • Maintain daily contact with counterparties, terminals, vessel owners/brokers, surveyors, agents and certification bodies., • Coordinate internally with Traders, Shipping, Logistics, Sustainability, Contracts, Demurrage, Legal and Finance to align commercial and operational intent., • Manage nominations, voyage orders, stowage planning, and follow-up of vessel and cargo performance., • Oversee customs clearance processes, ensuring all import/export requirements are fulfilled on time., • Keep all relevant data updated in Moeve’s trading systems in a timely and accurate manner., • Provide after-office support when critical issues arise—flexibility is key in a fast-moving trading environment. What We Are Looking For We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented and commercially minded professional with strong operational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment. Basic Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Trading Operations (biofuels, feedstocks, or related oil/products logistics)., • Strong knowledge of biofuels and renewable feedstock supply chains (FAME, HVO, SAF, POME, UCO, Ethanol, etc.)., • Hands-on experience with blending operations for biofuels., • Familiarity with sustainability certification schemes (ISCC, REDcert, EU compliance frameworks) and deep understanding of PoS flows., • Understanding of REACH regulation and its impact on biofuels trade and logistics., • Solid understanding of customs clearance requirements and ability to coordinate with brokers and agents., • Evidence of commercial acumen and ability to identify value-adding opportunities., • Excellent communication skills in English; other European languages are a plus. El director general de la Asociación Empresarial Eólica (AEE) analiza la situación de la energía eólica en España, donde esta tecnología supera la marca de 30 GW, y los principales retos del sector. En esta entrevista en SMARTGRIDSINFO, Juan Virgilio Márquez explica que 2024 debe ser el año clave para el despegue de la eólica marina en España. También destaca la oportunidad de aprovechar las herramientas que se han creado en Europa para impulsar el sector eólico, y la necesidad de aumentar la inversión en redes eléctricas para adaptarlas a las nuevas necesidades. Por último, expone un decálogo de prioridades en las que hay que trabajar y avanzar de forma colaborativa entre el sector eólico, las instituciones y los entornos. Juan Virgilio Márquez destaca que el sector eólico confía en que 2024 sea el año del despliegue de la offshore flotante en España. SMARTGRIDSINFO : Se presentan por delante años cruciales para la transición energética, un contexto en el que actualmente la energía eólica se sitúa como primera tecnología del mix eléctrico en España. ¿Cómo resumirías la situación del sector eólico español en la actualidad? ¿Cuáles son las principales cifras y puntos fuertes del sector? Juan Virgilio Márquez : España ha experimentado un notable avance en la instalación de energía eólica, superando la marca de 30 GW y consolidándose como la primera tecnología del mix energético, con un 23,5% de la cobertura de la demanda en 2023 y un 25% en lo que llevamos de 2024. La eólica, con 1.371 parques eólicos, genera más de 62.000 GWh de electricidad para nuestros ciudadanos. Esta generación eólica está presente en 47 provincias de nuestro país, de las cuales 20 generan más de 1 TWh de electricidad gracias al viento. Castilla y León con 6.517 MW es la comunidad autónoma con mayor potencia eólica instalada y Aragón ha sido en 2023 la comunidad autónoma que ha destacado por su incremento de potencia eólica con 307 MW nuevos, seguida de Castilla-La Mancha (92 MW) y Cataluña (60 MW). El sector eólico en España emplea a 40.000 personas en la actualidad, y se prevé que se duplique esta cifra para 2030. Pero además de la generación de electricidad, en España contamos con la cadena de valor del sector eólico. La industria eólica en España cuenta con más de 280 centros de fabricación en 16 de las 17 CCAA, y aporta más de 5.800 millones de euros a la economía española, un 0,50% del PIB, con unas exportaciones valoradas en más de 2.500 millones de euros. La eólica española es la quinta potencia a nivel mundial en el ranking de países con mayor potencia eólica instalada y la segunda a nivel europeo. SMARTGRIDSINFO : España cuenta con más de 30 GW eólicos instalados, pero el ritmo actual de instalación de la eólica es inferior al necesario para lograr los objetivos planteados en el Plan Nacional Integrado de Energía y Clima (PNIEC) para 2030. ¿Qué previsiones tiene el sector para hacer frente a esta situación? ¿A qué otros retos principales se enfrenta el sector eólico? Juan Virgilio Márquez : En 2023 se han instalado 607,23 MW eólicos, cifra muy por debajo de los 5,2 GW anuales necesarios para cumplir con los ambiciosos objetivos establecidos por el PNIEC. Esperamos que en 2024 podamos -como mínimo- duplicar esta cifra. Además, el sector eólico confía en que 2024 sea el año del despliegue de la offshore flotante. Los objetivos a 2030 son exigentes : 62 GW eólicos, incluyendo 3 GW de eólica offshore. Para poder alcanzar estos objetivos, necesitamos una velocidad lineal razonable y sostenible. La tramitación administrativa de los proyectos eólicos es la asignatura a mejorar por parte de las empresas, las administraciones, los territorios y sus ciudadanos. Nuestra prioridad es desarrollar un sistema digital e integral de permitting de proyectos energéticos que aporte transparencia y visibilidad sobre los proyectos de generación, de consumo y de infraestructuras. En cuanto a los retos, tenemos grandes objetivos por delante. El primero es el incremento de la demanda eléctrica. Trabajar en políticas de electrificación es probablemente una de las tareas más importantes a las que nos enfrentamos como sector. Las redes de distribución son un elemento clave en este proceso de electrificación. La inversión en redes debe aumentar para adaptarlas a las nuevas necesidades. Otro gran reto es la aceptación social de los proyectos : trabajar con rigor, establecer diálogos sin dejar a nadie atrás y aprender de las buenas prácticas. Respecto a las subastas de renovables, además de la necesaria evolución de su diseño, hay que decidir en qué momento lanzarlas y sobre qué vector energético es necesario aplicarlas y qué queremos conseguir con ellas. Con relación al diseño, el sector eólico lleva tiempo reclamando un cambio del mismo para enfocarlas a valor y no a puro precio. El nuevo RD Ley 8 / 2023 ya modifica los criterios de las subastas. Es fundamental que los criterios sirvan, entre otras cosas, para salvaguardar la competitividad y permanencia de la industria eólica española en particular y la europea en general, tal como se establece en el European Wind Energy Package . Esperamos que 2024 sea el año clave para el despegue de la eólica marina en España. La eólica marina flotante es una oportunidad de país por la creación de nuevos empleos y por las sinergias con otras actividades industriales, como la naval o la portuaria, entre otras. La instalación de los 3 GW que establece la Hoja de Ruta del Gobierno supone la creación de más de 7.500 nuevos empleos cualificados. El actual desarrollo del marco normativo nos anima a pensar que a final de 2024 se puedan dar las condiciones regulatorias para disponer del anuncio de la primera subasta, lo que supondrá el pistoletazo de salida. La colaboración constructiva entre todos los actores del sector, de las administraciones públicas y de los territorios es imprescindible para el desarrollo armonioso de la eólica marina, consiguiendo el entendimiento y las sinergias positivas entre todos ellos. Otro de los retos es la coexistencia del viento con otras tecnologías como el hidrógeno. Además, la hibridación de tecnologías es el futuro y la necesidad de tener una base eólica para ello es esencial. De igual modo, el sector debe avanzar la mejor manera de desplegar el almacenamiento en nuestros sistemas y ser capaz de proponer esquemas sostenibles basados en criterios de eficiencia para el sistema y los consumidores. SMARTGRIDSINFO : El sector eólico y el Gobierno de España firmaron en marzo el Wind Charter español (Carta Eólica), una declaración conjunta por la industria eólica española, en línea con el Carta Eólica Europea. Y en mayo se aprobó de manera definitiva la Ley de Industria Neto Cero (NZIA) para fabricar tecnologías renovables en la UE. ¿Qué oportunidades se presentan? Juan Virgilio Márquez : El sector eólico europeo está a la vanguardia de la reactivación y fortalecimiento de nuestra economía, asegurando la energía que Europa necesita y manteniendo su liderazgo industrial y tecnológico en el ámbito global. El Pacto Verde Europeo, el RepowerEU y el recientemente aprobado NZIA , junto con el European Wind Charter , son las principales herramientas existentes que permiten la resiliencia económica e industrial y garantizar la seguridad energética. Necesitamos, como sector, coordinar nuestros esfuerzos a lo largo de toda la cadena de valor, integrando las sensibilidades de todos, para lograr nuestros objetivos y establecer un diálogo fructífero con la sociedad sobre los beneficios y costos de la transición energética. Creemos firmemente que el sector eólico es un motor clave para permitir una profunda transformación en la estructura energética europea y un vector de competitividad económica y progreso social. Otra de las responsabilidades de nuestro sector es mantener y hacer crecer la cadena de valor industrial que tenemos en nuestro país. Nuestra industria ha venido viviendo tiempos complicados, pero ya está en senda de recuperación. Podemos decir que lo peor ha pasado y hemos salido más fortalecidos. Ahora debemos aprovechar las herramientas que se han creado en Europa – como el NZIA y el Wind Charter – para conseguir una autonomía estratégica industrial que sea efectiva, que vele por el concepto “made in and by Europe” y que nos blinde de futuras coyunturas geopolíticas en el mundo de la energía. SMARTGRIDSINFO : Ante el avance y despliegue de las energías renovables en el sistema eléctrico, destaca la importancia de la inversión en las redes de distribución. ¿Qué es necesario para afrontar este reto? ¿Cómo valoras las medidas que se están adoptando en este sentido a nivel español y europeo? Juan Virgilio Márquez : Las redes de distribución son un elemento clave en el proceso de electrificación del sector. La inversión en redes debe aumentar para adaptarlas a las nuevas necesidades. En lo que se refiere a la generación, hay mucha potencia con el acceso ya garantizado. Para seguir avanzando a partir de 2028 habría que asignar más capacidad de acceso y que los proyectos puedan comenzar a tramitarse a corto plazo. Pero no solo es cuestión de generación. También es demanda, consumo. Y, en lo que a eso se refiere, hay que traccionar todos los mecanismos posibles para dinamizar, ordenar, facilitar, el despliegue de las redes de modo que todos los consumidores industriales que están viniendo a España en busca de electricidad limpia y barata, o que planean venir, puedan conectarse lo antes posible. Cuanta más liquidez haya en la capacidad de las redes, es decir, en los accesos, menos posibilidad habrá de que haya prácticas especulativas. Todo ello hay que hacerlo con políticas de eficiencia. Hasta ahora el desarrollo de la red eléctrica ha tenido un enfoque muy orientado a conectar nueva generación renovable. Había que desarrollar la red por peticiones de generadores que querían conectarse. SMARTGRIDSINFO : ¿Cómo espera contribuir la Asociación Empresarial Eólica a hacer de la energía eólica un pilar energético para España? ¿Cuáles serán las líneas estratégicas de la asociación a medio y largo plazo? Juan Virgilio Márquez : Haciendo un ejercicio de simplificación, vamos a resumir en 10 las prioridades del sector en las que hay que trabajar y avanzar de forma colaborativa entre el sector eólico, las instituciones y los entornos; y siempre poniendo el foco en la aceptación social de los proyectos y en convivencia de la eólica con las actividades en los distintos entornos. • Acelerar las políticas de electrificación de la demanda industrial y doméstica. Poner un «puente de plata» a toda la industria que se quiera conectar a la red., • Ordenación de la penetración renovable y sincronización con el crecimiento del consumo. Herramientas para gestionar escenarios de precios cero o negativos., • Desarrollar un sistema digital e integral de permitting de proyectos energéticos que aporte transparencia y visibilidad sobre los proyectos de generación, de consumo y de infraestructuras., • Solucionar la judicialización de los proyectos en el territorio y activar medidas para no perder las inversiones afectadas por procedimientos judiciales., • Apoyar el desarrollo de la Ley de Industria Net Zero en Europa (NZIA) y ejecución de los acuerdos adquiridos en la firma del Wind Charter español para velar por nuestra cadena de suministro «made in and by Europe»., • Evolucionar el diseño de las subastas de energías renovables enfocadas a valor., • Desarrollo del paquete regulatorio de la eólica marina y el anuncio de convocatoria de la primera subasta en España. Trabajar codo con codo con el sector pesquero para la búsqueda de sinergias y enfoques win-win., • Dinamización del repowering de los parques eólicos más antiguos.
