Your Mission Actively participate in the creation and full development cycle of a portfolio of the next generation of large-scale data center site or other energy-intensive projects, from origination through construction. Provide opportunity research and assessment, project management, and technical expertise to ensure: • Development and market feasibility, • Efficient processing, monitoring, and reporting of investment approvals, • Compliance with internal governance, external regulatory, and commercial contract provisions, • Accurate creation and tracking of project presentations, papers, budgets, and timelines, • Productive transaction negotiation, documentation, and execution, • Alignment with the company’s strategic goals and offtakers’ requirements Your Role This role focuses on initiating, facilitating, tracking, and managing activities across prospective and actual investment projects, including analysis, site visits, meetings, communications, transactions, reporting, and stakeholder engagement in multiple countries. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate a portfolio of prospective and actual development projects related to data centers and potentially other energy-intensive projects across Europe, from origination through ready-to-build to construction and delivery., • Support the origination, analysis, and comparison of projects, including the identification of new opportunities, structuring and analysis of alternative transactions, and establishment of strategic partnerships., • Coordinate the requests for proposals from, vetting of, and engagements with outside professional firms, and their preparation of engineering designs, technical studies, and feasibility analyses., • Manage governmental and utility provider engagement processes to ensure timely acquisition of all necessary entitlements such as licenses, zoning and construction permits, environmental authorizations, grid connection conditions and contracts, and other infrastructure access, • Carry out technical, environmental, and financial analysis to confirm project feasibility., • Facilitate project transactions entitlement, and construction planning, submissions, and activities, ensuring compliance with schedules., • Assist with creating and managing project budgets, ensuring efficiency and cost optimization., • Identify, assess, and help mitigate risks that may impact project viability and delivery., • Prepare or assist with project presentations, periodic progress reports, and investment committee papers., • Coordinate and align efforts with M&A, Legal, Operations, Strategy & Markets, and other corporate areas., • Support negotiations and interactions with external stakeholders to ensure smooth contract creation and execution, relationship management, and collaboration., • Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related site visits, meetings, and industry conferences will be required (no more than 25%). What You Bring • University degree or other formal education in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Construction, Project Management, or Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Energy, or similar)., • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing energy-intensive projects (e.g., data centers, renewables, or industrial projects), assessing and comparing alternative investment opportunities, coordinating stakeholders, permitting budgeting, and preparing analyses, presentations, and approval requests., • Proven track record defining, managing, and troubleshooting permitting processes, technical studies, and related workstreams; establishing project timelines and budgets; communicating and tracking project progress against timelines and budgets; and coordinating internal and external stakeholder activities across multiple projects., • Experience collaborating with and aligning multidisciplinary teams (M&A, Legal, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Strategy & Markets) to keep projects on time and within budget., • Strong understanding of real estate investment and development, data center industry requirements and trends (in particular, their interface with energy supply), energy and other infrastructure aspects, and permitting/approval process timelines and requirements., • Knowledge of project finance and economic modeling for data center development projects., • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and specialized software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS tools, MS Project or equivalent)., • Professional certifications or postgraduate studies in these fields will be valued highly.
