N Position Type Management OVERVIEW Under the supervision of the Director of Convention Services Manager, coordinates and executes group assignments turned over by the Groups Sales team. HOW IT´S DONE Scope of position: Monitors and prepares all information related to contractual agreements pertaining to rooms, meeting space, beverage and food and special concessions. Coordinates all event details with Meeting Planner which are then communicated to operational departments through BEO´s (Banquet Event Orders) and GFS (Group Fact Sheet). Responsible for maximizing food and beverage revenues from assigned groups by solicitation of affiliate business and up selling. Maintain strong client relations and follow up on deposits due, rooming list and all necessary information to organize all group needs. Verify credit information submitted in Finance department at point of turnover. Participate in insider tours and plan meetings for upcoming groups and potential affiliate business. Promote the use MI Leads as a means of referral and Marriott Bonvoy: acquire full knowledgeable understanding of the program and assist when creating reslinks. Participate in trainings and other sales-related meetings as required. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand Spanish and English. • Minimum of two years’ experience in hotel operations and proven experience in a similar role. • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. • Excellent organizational skills: has the ability to prioritize tasks and to manage the workload by her/his own initiative • Enjoys working as part of a team • Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel. Good knowledge of Opera Sales & Catering & PMS systems Hours: The typical working days of the Convention Services Managers depend on groups and events business. The working hours should be from 09.00 AM to 17.00 PM, but are flexible according to evening and weekend events taking place in the hotel. We are looking for IT Manager to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona . Under the guidance of the Director of Finance, the IT Manager is responsible for ensuring functional integration of network and LAN hardware components throughout the entire operation. Job Description What you'll do... Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of technology including networks, workstations, POS, PMS, etc. to ensure efficient and revenue maximizing operations. Conduct capacity and performance studies recommending appropriate action to maintain standards of performance and capacity. Assist in performing hardware and software evaluation tests and determine appropriate installation or upgrade schedule. Administer, maintain and provide network level support for Hotel, Bar and Restaurant. Ensure functional integration of network and database server software and LAN hardware/software components. Perform fault isolation, problem determination and problem resolution of standard set network and serve problems to ensure proper integration of software and hardware components. Conduct capacity and performance studies pertaining to network file segments and servers (when applicable). Recommend appropriate action where performance is below objective or where capacity may be nearing its threshold. Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of process server and related network functions to ensure all components are performing optimally and in concert with each other. Perform hardware and software evaluations with individual workstations (when necessary) and determine appropriate installation and/or upgrade schedule. Maintain complete and thorough knowledge of new releases of network and server software. Document disaster recovery procedures and perform production turnover procedures with all application including but not limited to Opera, Micros, etc. Maintain department objectives and keep consistent with objective from hotel level and corporate level. Run training classes for individual workstations and new applications. Attend training classes as needed. Qualifications What we're looking for...
