Here you will find more information about us: Position activities: GTD Science, Infrastructures & Robotics is now looking for an experienced Control Systems Engineer Engineer to participate in Fusion/Scientific projects. You will join a dynamic team, working on the ITER project, a cutting-edge nuclear fusion research facility. Position main activities: Designing control system architectures, including PLC hardware layouts, I/O allocation, network topology. Produce control system design documentation. Programming mainly Siemens S7-1500 PLCs using TIA Portal. Designing Software architectures including state machines for complex systems. Integration of PLC code with SCADA systems (e.g WinCC OA, EPICS, CODAC) Performing hands-on testing: building test setups, connecting and configuring equipment, developing test benches tests and substitution tools when system equipment is not available, and validating hardware/software integration. Validate I&C cubicles: Hardware and Software FAT, SAT, which includes activities such as I/O checks, loop checks, interlock validation, and system troubleshooting. Produce Test procedures and test reports Participate in any other I&C activity required by the projects. Requirements: Your profile: Must have knowledge and tools: Experience in Siemens automation systems using STEP7 and TIA PORTAL (S7 300, 400, 1500 & 1200). Experience Developing control logic using SCL and implementing state machines with Siemens S7-Graph. Experience with SCADA systems and developing HMIs. Experience designing control system architectures. Experience developing technical documentation: SRS, FDS, I/O lists, cable diagrams, Bill of Materials, cabinet layouts, and test procedures. Experience reading electrical schematics. Hands-on experience with test setups: connecting, configuring and verifying equipment in laboratory or field. Experience commissioning control cabinets: Hardware FAT, Software FAT, SAT. Experience in large Instrumentation and Control systems. Experience with System Requirement management: ability to dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders to identify process requirements. Nice to have knowledge and tools: Experience with any object-oriented programming language, e.g. Python, C++. Experience developing software libraries. Experience designing electrical schematics (preferred SEE Electrical). Experience with WinCC OA, CODAC or similar. Experience in Distributed Control Systems. Experience with safety systems compliant with IEC 61511 using Siemens Safety PLC or similar. Understanding of Large Scientific Projects like ITER Project will be an asset. Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence. Personal skills Dynamic and adaptable individual with a multidisciplinary Ability and motivation to understand customer processes and adapt solutions accordingly. Good communication skills both verbal and written. A proactive team player with a collaborative mindset. Desire to work in challenging Big Science projects.
