Role Overview: The Vendor Coordinator, reporting to the Head of Strategic Procurement, will identify, evaluate, and onboard top global suppliers to enhance our localisation services for an expanding client base. Responsibilities include standard vendor management duties, performance monitoring, and reporting. Location: Ideally we are looking for candidates based in: Spain, Italy, Poland or the UK Responsibiities: • Leading the search, selection and recruitment of new vendors (freelance and agency) both in the UK and abroad., • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with external vendors through regular contact, • Organising vendor testing, test evaluation (linguistic and technical) and ensuring feedback is provided in a timely manner, • Collecting and negotiating rates – rate cards or project-specific quotes – and maintaining clear records of these rates, • Ensuring vendor data is updated in our systems and that all relevant legal documentation is complete, • Supporting the Production teams on specific projects – acting as media and entertainment subject matter expert, • Negotiating and maintaining competitive terms with external vendors, • Reporting, • Proactively seeking and recording feedback relating to suppliers' performance, • Acting as mentor to facilitate new team members' development under the guidance of the Head of Strategic Procurement, • University degree in Translation, Audio-visual translation or related discipline, • Three-years relevant vendor management experience in a media and entertainment localisation environment, • Business background and experience in subtitling, human dubbing, voice-over and AI dubbing, • Strong knowledge of market rates and conditions in the media and entertainment industry across a range of disciplines, including but not limited to subtitling, dubbing, access services, AI services, • Ability to clearly and accurately plan, record and summarise project information, • Excellent written and spoken English and communication skills, • Excellent negotiation skills, • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well independently, under pressure, and in a fast-paced environment #Interpreters #Freelance #Public Service Interpreting #Language Jobs #Acolad #Recruitment #Linguists #Translation #Interpreting #Europe #Cultural Mediators
