We are hiring a senior Fractional CFO to take ownership of a portfolio of tech clients (SaaS, marketplaces, fintech, cleantech, deeptech) from Seed to Series B, and help us raise the bar of what a 10x CFO partner looks like in Barcelona. The role You will be the lead CFO for 4 to 6 tech clients in parallel, on a fractional basis. The mandate is not to produce reports as a vendor. The mandate is to act as the strategic sparring partner of each CEO, the one who challenges the business model, structures the round, protects the cash, and turns finance into a real competitive advantage. For each client, you will: • Run finance end-to-end: investor-grade monthly reporting, KPIs, monthly business reviews with the CEO, • Build and own the business plan (3 to 5 year P&L, cash flow, investor scenarios) and keep it live, • Manage cash and working capital: 13-week forecast, banking relationships, non-dilutive funding (R&D tax credits, ENISA, CDTI, BPI, grants), • Drive fundraising: financial model, data room, valuation, term sheet negotiation, DD coordination, closing, • Structure the post-funding phase: tooling, monthly close, finance committee, board reporting, • Lead 1 to 3 Financial Analysts on your portfolio and grow them as future CFOs, • Own the board and investor relationship for your clients (CEOs, founders, VCs, banks) You will report directly to the Partners (Sébastien, Benjamin, Florent) and join a tight team of 15 finance leaders. Who we are looking for Strong finance foundation • 10+ years of finance experience, including time as CFO, Head of Finance, senior FP&A, or in Big 4 / Transaction Services, • You have already led or co-led at least one fundraising round (Seed, Series A or B) from the operator side, • Solid command of Accounting, FP&A, Reporting, Budgeting, Cash management, and basic M&A Tech, SaaS or scale-up exposure: ARR, NRR, cohorts, CAC payback and Rule of 40 are second nature • Strong bonus: knowledge of the Barcelona and Spanish VC ecosystem Consulting mindset and multi-client agility • You can manage 4 to 6 clients in parallel without losing quality or trust, • You know how to prioritise, push back when needed, and hold the line with founders who change direction frequently, • You are comfortable challenging a CEO on strategy, pricing, hiring plan and core assumptions, • You bring a true sparring partner posture: calm, factual, board-ready, trust-building Tech and AI literacy, non-negotiable in 2026 This is a meaningful evolution from our earlier hires. We want a CFO who thinks tech-first and actively uses AI in their daily work. • You already use LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) every day to accelerate modelling, analysis, drafting and research, • You know how to prompt seriously and build structured AI workflows, not one-shot questions, • You are curious about emerging toolkit for finance: AI agents, MCP, finance automation, • You see finance as a field to automate, not an Excel sanctuary, • You are excited to contribute to Iter's internal AI stack (skills, prompts, agents) and deploy it across your clients Soft skills • Native or fluent Spanish, fluent English (French is a real plus, half the team speaks it), • Excellent communicator, written and verbal, with the ability to make complex finance simple for non-finance founders, • Sharp attention to detail without losing the big picture, • High autonomy, ownership and intellectual honesty, • You thrive in an international, fast-moving environment What we offer • Top-percentile compensation in the Barcelona finance consulting market, with a clear progression path toward Senior CFO and Partner, • A portfolio of ambitious tech clients, with real strategic depth, • A senior peer group of 15 CFOs and finance leaders to spar with, learn from, and build with, • A company culture built on trust, autonomy and ownership, • A serious internal toolkit: financial models, dashboards, AI skills, Notion knowledge base, templates. Expect 3 to 4 weeks end-to-end. A note before you apply This role is on-site in Barcelona. We only consider candidates already based in Barcelona, or actively planning to relocate.
