ph3Job Summary /h3 pThis position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility by performing routine janitorial and custodial duties. The Janitor supports daily facility operations by ensuring all workspaces, restrooms, common areas, and building interiors are consistently clean, organized, and presentable for employees, visitors, and customers. The intended impact of this role is to promote a professional appearance, maintain health and safety standards, and contribute to a positive workplace environment. /p pWe are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual who takes pride in cleanliness and works well independently as well as part of a team. This person cares about cleanliness, organization, safety, reliability, and maintaining high standards of facility appearance. /p pThis role utilizes skills in cleaning procedures, time management, organization, communication, teamwork, and safe handling of cleaning equipment and supplies. /p h3Essential Duties and Responsibilities /h3 ul liClean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, hallways, and common areas /li liSweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and carpets /li liEmpty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly /li liReplenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed /li liClean windows, mirrors, fixtures, and other surfaces /li liMaintain cleanliness of entrances, walkways, and exterior areas as assigned /li liReport maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the Facility Manager /li liFollow all company safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelines /li liOperate cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively /li liSupport special cleaning projects and facility setups as needed /li liEnsure janitorial closets and storage areas remain clean and organized /li liOther responsibilities, initiatives and ad-hoc projects as required. /li /ul h3Internal and External Relationships /h3 ul liFacility Manager /li liOperations and administrative staff /li liEmployees and visitors throughout the facility /li liExternal vendors or maintenance contractors as needed /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 h3Education /h3 ul liHigh school diploma or GED preferred /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul li2-3 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facility cleaning services preferred /li liExperience operating commercial cleaning equipment is a plus /li /ul h3Knowledge /h3 ul liWorking knowledge of cleaning methods, sanitation standards, and safe chemical handling procedures /li liBasic knowledge of workplace safety practices and proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment /li /ul h3Skills /h3 ul liStrong attention to detail and organizational skills /li liAbility to work independently and manage time effectively /li liReliable attendance and dependability /li liGood communication and teamwork skills /li liAbility to safely operate cleaning equipment and tools /li liAbility to follow written and verbal instructions /li liBasic problem-solving skills and ability to identify maintenance or safety concerns /li /ul h3Physical Demands /h3 pThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
