The Role The Senior Copywriter will be responsible for protecting and maintaining Tuscany Now & More’s brand voice and copy quality across all core marketing channels during a period of maternity cover. A key focus of this role includes ownership of the ongoing content planning and prioritisation across email, social media, and the blog, operating within established content pillars and frameworks to ensure consistency and alignment with commercial and marketing objectives. The Senior Copywriter will also act as the primary editorial and brand gatekeeper, briefing, editing, and approving content produced by the freelance content writer. This requires strong editorial and brand judgement, the ability to work independently within defined guidelines, and the confidence to apply tactical decision-making to day-to-day content priorities. Key Responsibilities Copywriting • Write, edit, and proofread original and compelling content for press ads/advertorials, collateral, direct mail, digital advertising, website landing and product pages, and twice-weekly email marketing campaigns, • Craft strategic, platform-specific copy for social media channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, • Ensure all copy is brand-aligned, conversion-focused, and consistent in tone, messaging, and quality, • Maintain and apply Tuscany Now & More’s verbal brand identity across all channels Content Planning & Editorial Ownership • Own day-to-day content planning and prioritisation across email, social media, and the Discover Italy blog, operating within established content pillars and frameworks, • Manage the rolling content calendar, making informed editorial decisions on which villas, destinations, or collections to prioritise week to week, • Ensure content supports commercial and marketing objectives while adapting plans responsively based on performance, seasonality, and sales priorities Editorial Oversight • Act as final editorial sign-off for all written marketing content before publication, • Brief, guide, edit, and approve content produced by the freelance content writer, ensuring that messaging hierarchy is clearly communicated and SEO/GEO best practices are followed, • Provide clear, constructive feedback to maintain high editorial standards SEO & Performance Awareness • Apply strong on-page SEO principles across all written content, • Ensure content aligns with search intent and supports discoverability, • Use social and content performance insights to make informed tactical decisions around content planning and optimisation Candidate Requirements Essential • Fluent English speaker, • B.A. in Writing, English, or a similar degree, or equivalent experience, • Proven experience as a senior or highly experienced copywriter, ideally with in-house experience, • Strong background in writing conversion-focused web copy (product pages, landing pages, campaigns), • Experience owning or contributing to content planning and editorial calendars, • Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and confidently present ideas, • Confidence in editing and approving other writers’ work, • Excellent understanding of brand voice, tone, and messaging consistency, • Solid working knowledge of SEO best practices Highly Desirable • Experience in the luxury travel, hospitality, or lifestyle sector, • Strong knowledge of Italy, Italian culture, geography, and travel experiences, • Ability to write with authority and nuance about destinations and place Practicalities • This role is offered on a freelance, fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave (approximately 10 months), • Hybrid working model, with the expectation of approximately three days per week in the Barcelona office and two days per week remote, • Candidates must have the right to work in Spain and be able to freelance legally from Barcelona, • Occasional opportunities for familiarisation (FAM) trips to Italy may be offered to deepen product knowledge and support content authenticity Freelance retainer: €4,000 per month How to apply Please email the following to Subject line: Senior Copywriter – Maternity Cover • CV outlining relevant experience, • Cover letter explaining your interest in the role and your suitability
