ABOUT LA MARQUESA: La Marquesa Golf in Alicante, Spain, was founded in 1989 by Justo Quesada as Quesada Golf Club and renamed in 1994 to La Marquesa Golf & Country Club. It’s an 18-hole, par72 parkland course set in a valley surrounded by mountains, featuring wide fairways, streams, lakes, bunkers, and palm-lined greens. Highlights include a replica of TPC Sawgrass’s island green on hole 16 and Spain’s first par6 hole (up to 644 m). Facilities include a clubhouse with restaurant and bar, pro shop, swimming pool, driving range, putting and chipping areas, practice bunker, and a golf school offering lessons. ROLE OVERVIEW: The Club Manager will be responsible for all golf experiences at La Marquesa. The Club Manager will develop and execute strategies to grow revenue, maintain high service standards, and deliver exceptional guest and member experiences. This leadership role requires a dynamic, hands-on manager with the ability to oversee a large team, manage budgets, and uphold compliance across all departments, while fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership and Strategy: Operational Oversight: • Ensure high operational efficiency and service standards across all departments. Financial Management: • Monitor financial performance, including profit and loss statements, cost control, and revenue generation., • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality or member experience. Members & Guest Relations: Staff Management & Development: Compliance & Safety: • Ensure the club adheres to all local laws and regulations, including food hygiene, fire safety, and labour laws., • Develop and enforce safety protocols, ensuring the well-being of guests, staff, and assets across the facility. Event & Tournaments Management: Marketing & Brand Management: • Ensure that all marketing materials, online presence, and guest interactions reflect the club’s premium brand., • Promote La Marquesa as a destination of choice for local and international golf enthusiasts. BASIC REQUIREMENTS • Proven experience in management or director-level roles within golf clubs, hospitality or complex leisure assets., • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage day-to-day operations., • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control and revenue generation., • Commercial mindset with a clear focus on results and guest experience excellence., • Ability to manage relationships with ownership, members, societies and external partners., • Solid operational understanding of golf operations and F&B as key revenue drivers., • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to manage conflict and execute strategy., • Fluent English required.
