We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in data engineering and analytics to help us scale while maintaining correct and complete data. The candidate will be working with a variety of internal teams to help solve their data needs. The Collections Data Scientist will also work closely with different department leaders to enhance everyday business processes. Business acumen, technical capacity, and critical thinking are imperative for this role. Position Responsibilities • Develop technology enabled recommendations to address gaps within a single business process., • Proactively identify potential impact on business strategy and recommend potential solutions as necessary., • Document existing processes, organizational structures, architectures and external systems., • Consult on the appropriate tools to prepare deliverables; participate in the development of tools and methodologies and adapt them to the organization environment., • Manage peer-to-peer relationships, with colleagues, vendors and external contractors, including offshore functions., • Assist with development and execution of cut-over plans for simple processes., • Assist in post-implementation support, resolving issues and raising defects to the appropriate level., • Execute transition plan for area of responsibility to the appropriate resource for each phase of the project or initiative., • Transition the knowledge sharing and transfer ownership to other resources or teams for key deliverables and business processes across a module. Candidate Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in technical or business discipline., • Minimum of 4 years related experience., • In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies., • Knowledge of diverse and emerging technologies and new architectural concepts and principles., • Proficiency in data engineering languages and tools; familiar with new and emerging technologies., • Understanding of layered solutions and designs; knowledge of shared data engineering concepts and product features, and security minded., • Negotiation, consensus building and influencing skills, facilitation and adaptability to respond to change quickly., • Strong oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills., • Ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization. Physical Requirements This job operates in a professional office environment. The employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit or stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office, reach in any direction, raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, or hold onto objects and move or exert force up to forty pounds.
