Location: Frodsham, Cheshire Salary: £95 - £105 daily rate (dependent on experience) Contract Type: [Full-time - Temporary] Start Date: September 2026 Job Purpose To support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education, ensuring all pupils are engaged, supported, and able to achieve their full potential within a safe and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons and learning activities, • Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning and support progress, • Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials, • Help create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment, • Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND, where required, • Promote good behaviour and assist with classroom management, • Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes, and educational visits, • Observe and report on pupil progress and behaviour to the class teacher, • Provide pastoral support and help promote pupils’ wellbeingPerson SpecificationEssential Requirements, • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, • A patient, caring, and supportive approach, • Basic literacy and numeracy skills (GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths), • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenDesirable, • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3), • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, • Knowledge of the primary curriculumKey Skills & Attributes, • Positive and proactive attitude, • Good organisational skills, • Flexibility and adaptability, • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff, • Commitment to supporting inclusive educationWhat We Offer, • A welcoming and supportive school environment, • Opportunities for training and professional development, • A collaborative team of staff, • A rewarding role supporting children’s learning and developmentSafeguarding This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
