    Flukes at Big Penny Social are hiring! Flukes is the speakeasy style cocktail and games bar hidden upstairs in Big Penny Social, Walthamstow. We’re a 250-capacity venue offering American pool tables, interactive darts, shuffleboard and karaoke rooms, as well as a bar area for food and drinks for those not gaming! Our primary days are Thursday – Sunday, although this is subject to change based on private hires, events, and winter scheduling. Our menu is classic cocktails, with a couple of seasonal house specials and a cocktail of the week. We’re 18+ every day except Sunday’s, when we allow over 12’s to come and enjoy the fun. What we’re looking for: • Someone keen to be an allrounder, interest is more important than experience at Flukes, although hospitality experience is preferred. The current team are all cross trained, so we all support the games hall, reception, bar, floor and back of house as needed, although each have their specialities., • Someone with an outgoing personality & good communication skills, who enjoys being part of a team and getting to know the regulars. Hosting is a huge part of the job, and we want everyone to feel welcomed from entrance to exit., • Someone with an interest in food and drinks, who is confident upselling and is interested in helping us create our cocktails of the week., • Someone who enjoys a changing work environment as we have a lot of events! We are looking for a dependable and confident Retail Store Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the shop. The Role You will be trusted to manage the store independently, deliver friendly and knowledgeable customer service, maintain accurate stock records and ensure the shop remains organised, secure and presentable throughout the day.This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is comfortable approaching customers, recommending fragrances and taking ownership of the store while the business owner is away. Main Responsibilities • Opening and closing the store securely, • Welcoming customers and understanding their fragrance preferences, • Recommending suitable perfumes and confidently closing sales, • Managing perfume testing and ensuring testers are used responsibly, • Operating the till, card terminal and receipt system, • Accurately processing cash and card transactions, • Completing opening and closing cash checks, • Monitoring stock levels and reporting low-stock products, • Receiving, checking and organising deliveries, • Keeping shelves, testers and displays clean and well presented, • Maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the store, • Handling customer questions, complaints and returns professionally, • Following store policies, security procedures and loss-prevention measures, • Preparing and serving the store’s iced coffee and matcha drinks when required, • Providing the owner with clear updates on sales, stock and any issues during the day The ideal candidate will be: • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy, • Confident working independently, • Friendly and approachable without being overly pushy, • Comfortable setting polite boundaries with customers, • Organised and attentive to detail, • Confident handling cash, stock and store keys, • Able to communicate clearly and recommend products, • Genuinely interested in fragrance, beauty or luxury retail, • Comfortable learning about Arabian perfume brands and scent profiles Previous retail, fragrance, beauty or supervisory experience is preferred.     MOVIP Homes – 2 /3 Bed LD Children's Home REGISTERED MANAGER - JOB PACK Job Title: Registered Manager - Children's Home (LD 6-17) Location: Enfield, North London - 2 /3 Bed Home (1 child initially, scaling to 2) Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum based on experience + £2k bonus on Good Ofsted + Sleep-in allowance (£55 per sleep) Hours: 40 hours per week - Supernumerary management role + on-call (rota basis) Contract: Full-time, Permanent Reports to: Responsible Individual DBS Requirement: MUST have Enhanced DBS on DBS Update Service - Essential (maintain subscription) 1. About Us We are a new, small, quality-led provider opening a 2 /3 bed children's home in Enfield for children aged 6-17 years with Learning Disabilities, Autism and communication needs. We will open with 1 child for the first 3 months to ensure safe settling, relationship building and quality embedding, then build to 2 children with a potential to scale up to three. Our approach is low arousal, communication first (Makaton/PECS/intensive interaction), PBS, PACE and child-centred care. We are not a large corporate - you will be supported directly by our experienced Responsible Individual. 2. Job Purpose Lead in Ofsted registration interview and thereafter be the Ofsted Registered Manager, accountable for the day-to-day management of the home in line with Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards 2023. To ensure children with LD experience a safe, low arousal, homely environment where their communication, sensory, health and independence needs are met and they achieve positive outcomes. To lead, inspire and develop staff team to Good/Outstanding. 3. Key Responsibilities · Ofsted Registration & Quality: Act as Registered Manager, meet Reg 28/29 fitness, lead fit person interview and registration visit. Ensure compliance with Reg 26-45 and Quality Standards: Quality & Purpose, Positive Relationships, Protection, Leadership & Management. · Leadership: Lead, supervise and roster staff team. Complete supervisions, appraisals, team meetings, competency checks. Ensure 12-week rota shows staff names, exact shift times, contracted hours, annual leave, training, supervision, sleep/waking nights, bank cover and total weekly hours - Ofsted requirement for 1 child model and 2 / 3 child scaling. · Low Arousal Environment: Create and maintain low arousal home - lighting, noise, colours, zoning, sensory corner, predictable routines, visual timetables Now/Next, 10 seconds processing time, one instruction. · Communication First: Ensure every child has Communication Passport, sensory profile, health action plan. All staff trained and using Makaton, PECS, objects of reference, intensive interaction, total communication. · PBS: Lead Positive Behaviour Support - functional assessment, early signs, de-escalation, change of face, restraint only last resort, reduction plan. No punishment approach. · Care Planning: Personalised care plans, risk assessments, impact risk assessments for new referrals, compatibility assessment for second / third child, health plans with Community LD Team, SALT, OT, epilepsy, dysphagia management. · Multi-Agency: Work with LAs (Enfield, Haringey, Barnet), schools, families, Reg 44 Independent Visitor, PBS consultant. 24hr response to referrals. · Safeguarding: Designated Safeguarding Lead for home, LADO referrals, safer recruitment, whistleblowing culture. · Financial & Operations: Manage budget for 1 child then 2 /3 children, occupancy building, staffing costs, petty cash, premises maintenance, vehicle, activities. · Quality Monitoring: Complete Reg 45 monthly review, work with Reg 44 visitor, action plans, Ofsted notifications, complaints, compliments. · On-call: Participate in on-call rota for staff support, especially nights/weekends. 4. Person Specification - Ofsted Requirements Essential - Must Have (Ofsted Reg 28/29) · Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) OR Level 4 with commitment to complete Level 5 within 2 years. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent minimum. · Experience: At least 2 years working in children's residential care in last 5 years, including at least 1 year in senior/supervisory/management role.
