We're looking for an experienced industry professional to join as a site based HSE Advisor / Engineer on this exciting and UK-first Carbon Capture project. You will support the effective development, oversight, and continuous improvement of the safety management system across all engineering and development stages of EPIC projects. Job Title: Site HSE Advisor Contract: Initially 12 Months IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Requirements: 5 days per week on site (Occasional Saturday mornings) Purpose of the Position As a Site HSE Advisor, you will report to the Field HSE Manager and provide support to ensure the effective development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System throughout the engineering and development phases (EPIC projects) of the Liverpool Bay Decommissioning and Carbon Capture Project. Key Responsibilities You will support the organization by: • Driving HSE awareness through workforce engagement, inductions, and training programs, • Conducting site inspections, monitoring subcontractor activities, and ensuring equipment compliance, • Managing risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safe systems of work, • Overseeing Permit to Work (PTW) systems and controls for hazardous materials, • Reporting HSE performance, tracking KPIs, and supporting incident and accident investigations, • Promoting environmental compliance, sustainability, and best practices on site Qualifications & Experience Education • Qualification in HSE or an engineering-related discipline, • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) Experience • Several years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, • Proven experience on onshore projects, including construction design management (CDM), • Experience in inspections, surveys, and incident investigations Certification • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
