Remote EAP Helpline Counsellor £32,000 per annum Full-time, Permanent Compass Associates are proud to be exclusively partnering with a leading national provider of Employee Assistance Programmes and wellbeing solutions. Key Responsibilities • Deliver immediate emotional support via helpline calls, providing psychoeducation, signposting to external agencies, and arranging follow-up when needed., • Conduct clinical assessments over the phone, administer psychometric tools confidently, and refer individuals for appropriate ongoing psychological or counselling support., • Manage risk effectively, including high-risk and trauma calls, following risk policy to ensure caller safety., • Achieve individual and team performance goals., • Maintain accurate records and communication, updating systems promptly, handling email/web enquiries, and supporting managers or HR with helpline information., • Contribute to team flexibility and service delivery, assisting with administrative tasks, referrals, and projects. Skills & Experience • Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and/or Psychotherapy (required)., • Registered member of a professional body such as BACP or equivalent (working towards accreditation desirable)., • Previous EAP experience (desirable but not essential)., • Resilient, calm under pressure, and able to manage risk effectively., • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
