Conveyancing Assistant 📍 Manchester 🕒 Full-Time | Office-Based 💰Salary - Competitive DOE The Opportunity An established and growing law firm based in Manchester is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy residential property team. The firm has a strong pipeline of work and a solid reputation for client service, offering a supportive environment where individuals can develop and progress their careers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior conveyancing experience who is looking to build on their technical knowledge and gain greater exposure to the full transaction lifecycle. The Role You will work closely with experienced fee earners, providing hands-on support across a wide range of residential conveyancing matters. The role offers exposure from initial instruction through to post-completion, making it ideal for someone looking to take the next step towards a fee-earning position. Key Responsibilities • Assist in managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, • Support files from instruction through to exchange and completion, • Draft and prepare contracts, transfer deeds, completion statements, and client correspondence, • Carry out searches, Land Registry applications, and SDLT submissions, • Handle post-completion processes, ensuring all registrations and formalities are completed accurately, • Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, brokers, and third-party solicitors to ensure smooth transaction progression, • Provide regular updates to clients, maintaining a high level of service and communication, • Maintain accurate and compliant file management in line with regulatory requirements, • Assist fee earners with enquiries, title checks, and general transaction support About You • Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant, or Paralegal within residential property, • Good working knowledge of the conveyancing process, including pre- and post-completion stages, • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, • Confident communicator with strong client care skills, • Proactive, organised, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment, • Keen to progress within conveyancing and develop into a fee-earning role Salary & Benefits • Competitive salary (DOE), • Opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full conveyancing process, • Supportive team with ongoing training and development, • Clear progression opportunities within the firm Working Arrangements • Full-time, office-based role in Manchester, • Stable, long-term opportunity within a busy and growing team This is an ideal role for a conveyancing assistant looking to join a firm where they can develop their skills, gain responsibility, and progress their career in residential property.
