Please note this role is going to on a 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern.\n\nJob description - the role\n\nPurpose of the role:\n\nIn this role you will provide support to the Manufacturing Services Leader and Manufacturing Services Engineer. You will be responsible for performing Electrical installations, repairs and maintenance on production manufacturing assets and all associated production equipment.\n\nWhat you'll do:\n\nPerform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks across a broad range of manufacturing assets and production & experimental equipment across a plant, site or business, ensuring that all outputs are safe, available and capable for use when required.\nUtilise hand tools and test equipment to deliver customer requirements.\nUse drawings & data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards capable electrical systems.\nCollect, organise, and analyse data in support of Key Performance Indicators for the Manufacturing Services Department as required.\nRead and interpret machinery and plant drawings, electrical schematics, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues to enable customer requirements to be met.\nCoordinate workload and electrical activities with customers, regularly communicating and interfacing with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, Design Engineers, Maintenance Team members and Production Operators.\nCoordinate their activities with Production Staff, regularly communicating and interfacing with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, and Production Operators.\nWork with site Manufacturing Engineers to help understand and restore equipment performance to standard.\nWork alongside/support equipment OEM and Design engineers\nConsistently support asset maintenance activities in order to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to a high performance standard.\nSupport the effective induction of new team members and support cross-training of other team members.\nUtilise problem solving skills and ability to make sound recommendations based on judgement, training and previous experience.\nAble to process Work Orders and pull reports from the Computerised Maintenance Management System.\nSafely operate site specific equipment as required with appropriate training.The skills you'll need:\n\nNVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant Electrotechnical time served apprenticeship.\nCurrent BS7671 Certificate (currently 18th Edition)- Preferred\nGood understanding of Electrical Installations and maintenance operations.\nBasic IT literacy.\nUnderstanding of local and regional HSE Standards and regulations.\nAble to work to engineering drawings.Ideal Exp / Skills:\n\nWill ideally come from a specific mechatronic maintenance experience.\n\nNext steps\n\nWe will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.\n\nIf you are interested in applying for this position and meet the criteria outlined above, please click the link to apply and we will contact you with an update in due course.\n\nAMS, a Recruitment Process Outsourcing Company, may in the delivery of some of its services be deemed to operate as an Employment Agency or an Employment Business
