Location : Midlands, hybrid working model applicableThis is what you can expect: Responsibility for recording and posting business transactions in day-to-day accounting, including independent account clarification and reconciliationManagement and oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, P&L accounts, and fixed asset accountingContributing to the preparation of monthly and annual statutory financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB), including the accounting assessment of recurring and standardised transactions as well as the preparation of the balance sheet and profit and loss statementMonthly preparation of IFRS reporting packages for group reporting purposesPreparing analysis of financial statements and assisting with internal and external reportingIntercompany reconciliationPreparation of regular and manual payment runsPreparation of monthly VAT returns and the annual VAT return, including clarification of VAT-related issues in the movement of goodsDesigning, execution and documentation of internal controlsIdentification and implementation of process improvements within the accounting functionCollaboration with internal departments and external partners such as tax advisors and auditors, as well as independent coordination of the annual audit processWhat you need to bring: Completed degree in Business Administration with subsequent professional experience in finance and accounting, or completed commercial traineeship/apprenticeship, ideally with an additional qualification as a Certified Accountant (IHK) or a comparable qualificationAt least 5 to 7 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, auditing, and/or tax advisorySound practical experience in accounting in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) is required; knowledge of IFRS is desirableRelevant practical experience in accounting for individual entities (general ledger) and preparing (monthly/annual) financial statements in ERP systemsKnowledge of UK and Irish tax law and regulations would be advantageous, but is not essentialAnalytical thinking skills and a strong affinity for numbersStrong process understanding and the ability to implement improvements operationallyVery good MS Office skills and confident handling of ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics Navision / Business Central)Independent, reliable, structured, and goal-oriented way of workingHigh level of motivation and initiativeStrong team spirit, communication skills, and reliabilityGood command of English and German (level C1)We offer you: A permanent job in a growing group of companiesA family-like working atmosphereA structured on-the-job trainingUp to 40% home office is possible after the training 30 days of holiday, a company pension plan, medical check-ups and other corporate benefitsAn individual and intensive training and, according to your abilities, a quick assumption of responsible and varied tasksOpen and honest communication, a standard that is not just an empty phrase for us You can feel the sporting spirit in our corporate culture, we stick together and support each other!TPBN1_UKTJ
