Duties Manage comprehensive payroll processing using industry-leading software such as Xero and SAGE. Ensure accurate data entry for employee hours, benefits, deductions, and tax information while maintaining meticulous records for audit purposes. Reconcile payroll accounts through detailed analysis of general ledger entries, account reconciliation processes, and double-entry bookkeeping techniques. Administer benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll transactions; perform general ledger reconciliation to maintain financial accuracy. Conduct detailed analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or anomalies; implement corrective actions swiftly. Assist in audits related to payroll and financial reporting; prepare reports that support organisational decision-making. Experience Proven experience in payroll management within a corporate accounting or human resources environment. Extensive knowledge of payroll software such as Xero is essential. Familiarity with tax regulations related to payroll processing and benefits administration is required. Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation and analyse financial data accurately. Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is a plus. Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong analytical skills; ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
