Electrical Quantity Surveyor / Estimator North West (Office & Site Based) Full-Time | Permanent Competitive Salary + Package About Us My client is a growing and dynamic contractor delivering high-quality electrical and construction solutions across commercial, residential, healthcare, and public-sector projects. Due to continued expansion, we are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to strengthen our commercial team. The Role This is a key position responsible for managing both pre-construction estimating and commercial project delivery. You will play a vital role in ensuring cost-effective project execution while maintaining strong client and supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities Estimating • Preparation of detailed and accurate electrical estimates and tenders, • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation, • Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations, • Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options, • Supporting bid submissions and client negotiations Quantity Surveying • Managing the commercial lifecycle from project award through to final account, • Cost planning, tracking and reporting, • Preparing valuations, variations, and applications for payment, • Subcontractor procurement, administration, and final accounts, • Contract administration (JCT / NEC), • Managing project risk, cash flow, and margin performance Requirements • Proven experience as an Electrical QS, Estimator, or dual-role professional, • Strong knowledge of electrical installations and M&E projects, • Experience with JCT and/or NEC contracts, • Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills, • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel essential) Desirable • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction, • Experience working on commercial, healthcare, or public sector projects, • Knowledge of estimating software What We Offer • Competitive salary (dependent on experience), • Company car or car allowance, • Pension scheme, • Opportunities for career progression within a growing business, • Supportive and professional working environment
