Position Overview Reporting to the Head of Events, Wise is looking for an experienced Project Director to join the team to deliver some of our largest, high-end, creative productions in London’s unique and historic venues as well as throughout the UK and internationally. Advanced technical knowledge is essential, and the individual must exemplify exceptional customer service, diligent budgeting across complex projects, whilst being a role model and mentor to the rest of the projects team. With fresh ideas and bespoke solutions, we bring a distinctive flair to every event we produce Key Accountabilities • Follow the event process set by the Head of Events., • Take the initial brief from a prospect client and be key point-of-contact throughout the process, • Present proposals to clients confidently to convert business and maximise opportunities, • Maintain strong relationships with our accredited venues and other suppliers, • Oversee the event installation & live event delivery to ensure all our teams produce exceptional service, • Achieve the revenue and gross margin targets set by the Head of Events., • Training & mentoring the projects team Day-to-Day Responsibilities • Document Preparation: Prepare production schedule/event running orders and brief technical department leads/operators, • Budget Management: Ensure costs are monitored throughout the pre-production process and target margins achieved, • Collaboration: Work with internal departments and external suppliers to deliver projects to the Wise standard., • Networking: Attend industry networking/venue promotional events, • Event Support: As well as managing your own projects you will support other Project Managers in the delivery of theirs, when needed. Who are you? • A minimum of 8 years live event industry experience – preferably from an agency, technical/creative production or venue role, • The ability to effectively project manage production budgets exceeding £250,000, • An advanced understanding of the main technical event production disciplines (lighting, sound, video and scenic), • Confident in running complex events with multiple technical disciplines such as award show, large conferences , and high-net-worth private events., • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, • Financial understanding of budgeting, profit margins and cost control, • Strong communications skills to ensure information flows efficiently between departments and project critical path is maintained, • Strong financial understanding of budgeting, profit margins and cost control, • Ability to motivate, support and understand different individuals and teams, • Excellent written and verbal communication, • Exceptional organisation and time management skills, • Calm under pressure, • Confidence in dealing with and presenting to a wide range of clients, • Client-facing manner with ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of event stakeholders, • Willingness to attend evening networking events, • Well-organised with an ability to prioritise work in a deadline-driven environment, • Confident user of Microsoft applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) To find out about our company benefits please ___ To find out about our company benefits please Interested?
