PARAPLANNER – ABERDEEN Build your future in financial planning. An established professional services firm is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join its Wealth team in Aberdeen. THE ROLE As a Paraplanner, you’ll provide vital technical and analytical support to Financial Planners, helping to deliver clear, compliant, and effective financial planning solutions. You’ll play a key role throughout the client journey and act as a trusted technical partner to the planning team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Support Financial Planners with research, analysis, and technical input, • Prepare high-quality suitability reports in line with recommendations, • Produce cashflow models and technical calculations, • Analyse client portfolios and complete due diligence, • Identify and gather information required for financial planning, • Act as a point of contact for clients where appropriate, • Attend client meetings when required, • Liaise closely with client services teams to ensure recommendations are implemented accurately, • Monitor KPIs and service level standards, • Review client files post-implementation, • Maintain compliance with regulatory and professional standards, • Keep up to date with legislative and industry changes, • Contribute ideas and improvements as part of a continuous improvement culture ABOUT YOU Experience • 3–4+ years’ experience in a Paraplanner or similar role, • Strong background in technical financial planning and compliance, • Experience analysing client portfolios and working to deadlines Qualifications • CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) – desirable, • Working towards the Advanced Diploma – preferred Skills & Attributes • Exceptional attention to detail, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Highly organised with a logical, analytical approach, • Client-focused mindset, • Able to work independently and collaboratively, • Proactive, motivated, and committed to ongoing CPD WHAT’S ON OFFER • Competitive annual leave plus public holidays, • Option to buy or carry over leave, • Hybrid working and flexible hours, • Private medical insurance, • 24/7 employee assistance programme, • Life assurance / death in service, • Enhanced parental leave, • Paid volunteering day, • Competitive pension scheme WHY APPLY?
