Role Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality KS3 and KS4 Science lessons, following the national curriculum and contributing to the academic progress and personal development of pupils. You will play an integral role in the Science Department, helping to maintain high levels of engagement, attainment, and enthusiasm for the subject. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students., • Teach across a range of Science disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) at KS3 and KS4 level., • Set high expectations for student achievement and behaviour., • Assess, record, and report on the development and progress of pupils., • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and resource creation., • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment following school policies., • Participate in parents’ evenings, staff meetings, and relevant CPD opportunities. Essential: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent., • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 level., • Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum., • Effective classroom management skills., • Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities., • Strong communication and organisational skills.
