We are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Systems Engineer to design, develop, and validate high-performance power electronics for advanced systems in a defence and aerospace environment. This is a hands-on role for a technically driven engineer passionate about innovation and high-reliability systems. Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop power electronic circuits, including DC-DC converters, AC-DC rectifiers, inverters, and motor drives., • Model and simulate systems using MATLAB, Simulink, and LTSpice, validating performance under operational conditions., • Develop and execute design verification plans; collaborate with test engineers to refine hardware designs., • Integrate power electronics into larger systems, ensuring seamless operation of control algorithms and hardware., • Prepare detailed design documentation, including circuit diagrams, simulation results, specifications, and technical reports., • Apply continuous improvement by staying up-to-date with new technologies and identifying opportunities for performance enhancements and cost reduction. Qualifications & Skills: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field., • Experience designing and modelling inverters, converters, or motor drives., • Strong skills in MATLAB, Simulink, LTSpice, circuit analysis, and digital control of power electronics systems., • Knowledge of semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs) and their application in high-efficiency designs., • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work across multidisciplinary teams. Preferred: • Experience with thermal management, EMC considerations, and magnetic component design (inductors, transformers)., • Previous work in Marine, Aerospace, or Defence sectors.
