Job Title: Workshop Team Leader – Multi-Skilled Refurbishment Location: Clayton West, Huddersfield Salary: Competitive, plus benefits MacGregor Black are partnering with a global leader in coffee production and innovation. We are seeking a Workshop Team Leader to join a hands-on, high-performing workshop team responsible for the refurbishment and maintenance of mechanical components used in commercial coffee machines. This permanent role offers the opportunity to lead a small team of multi-skilled workshop engineers while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Huddersfield workshop. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage a small team of engineers undertaking refurbishment of mechanical components., • Allocate workloads, monitor team performance, and conduct appraisals, coaching, and mentoring., • Maintain quality standards, ensure health & safety compliance, and oversee workshop housekeeping., • Manage parts inventory, stock levels, and the maintenance of workshop equipment., • Liaise with internal teams, including Supply Chain, Technical Support, Field Engineers, and Logistics, to ensure operational efficiency., • Implement process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives., • Act as keyholder and manage workshop security, fire safety, and first-aid responsibilities. About You • Proven leadership experience managing a small workshop or engineering team., • Experience in refurbishment, repair, or maintenance of mechanical components., • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills., • Ability to motivate a team, meet deadlines, and maintain operational targets., • Knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement methodologies is desirable., • Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word., • Engineering qualification (C&G Level 3 / ONC) desirable but not essential.
