Elvet Recruitment have been appointed by a local Civil Engineering Consultancy, looking to expand their team with a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer - covering Water Engineering projects across the UK. The business are a specialist in Environmental, Groundwater and Geotechnical solutions to the Water, Transport, Energy and Construction Industries. Key Responsibilities: • Analyse, interpret and manage complex groundwater, hydrogeological and environmental datasets to inform technical assessments and project delivery., • Develop, calibrate and validate conceptual and numerical groundwater models to support environmental and engineering projects., • Produce high-quality technical reports, delivering clear, concise and well-structured documentation for clients, regulators and other stakeholders., • Lead and coordinate small project teams, overseeing task allocation, mentoring junior staff and ensuring robust quality assurance procedures., • Manage projects from inception to completion, delivering work safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest technical standards., • Coordinate regulatory submissions and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to relevant environmental legislation, guidance and industry standards., • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, regulatory bodies and multidisciplinary project teams through effective communication and stakeholder engagement., • Support business development initiatives through proposal preparation, tender submissions, client engagement and the development of long-term relationships., • Plan, undertake and supervise site investigations, groundwater monitoring programmes and fieldwork activities as required., • Apply practical engineering judgement and a strong understanding of site-specific constraints to develop effective, commercially viable and technically robust solutions. Qualifications/Experience Required: • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline., • Proven experience within a groundwater engineering or hydrogeological consultancy environment., • Strong technical expertise in groundwater data analysis, interpretation and conceptual and numerical groundwater modelling., • Demonstrable experience managing technical projects and coordinating small multidisciplinary teams., • Excellent technical report writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively., • Confident engaging with clients, regulatory authorities and multidisciplinary project teams at all levels., • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise workloads and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously., • Proactive and solution-focused, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities., • Chartered status, or working towards professional accreditation with a recognised institution, would be advantageous., • Full UK driving licence desirable to support site visits and field-based activities.
