Scope At Akkodis, our Business Managers are at the core of driving commercial success. They are responsible for leading and nurturing client relationships, identifying opportunities for growth, and strategically expanding our business portfolio. Acting as the key commercial interface, Business Managers collaborate closely with technical operations, pre-sales, and talent acquisition teams to ensure the seamless delivery of solutions and services that meet client needs. This role encompasses the full commercial lifecycle — from acquiring new business, maintaining and strengthening existing partnerships, through to shaping long-term strategic accounts. Business Managers are expected to balance client engagement, financial performance, and internal collaboration, ensuring that Akkodis delivers both value to clients and sustainable growth for the business. Role As a Business Unit Director ICT & Digital, you will hold overall responsibility for the strategic and commercial success of your business unit. You will drive client acquisition, retention, and growth while ensuring delivery excellence across ICT & Digital services. Central to the role is leading the transformation of services from traditional time-and-materials models towards outcome-based engagements such as work package deliverables, managed services, and externalised capabilities. You will also maximise value creation by leveraging Akkodis’ global delivery footprint collaborating with offshore and nearshore centres to optimise margin, scalability, and turnaround. Alongside running the P&L, you will represent Akkodis externally at industry events, building market presence through pitches, presentations, and thought leadership. Responsibilities • Own the P&L and commercial strategy for the ICT & Digital business unit., • Build, grow, and maintain strategic client relationships at senior and executive levels., • Define and implement business plans that deliver revenue growth, margin improvement, and market expansion., • Drive service transformation, evolving delivery models from time-and-materials to work packages, managed services, and externalised capabilities., • Collaborate with offshore and nearshore Akkodis delivery centres to optimise cost, increase capacity, and maximise margin contribution., • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Managers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture., • Partner with technical operations, pre-sales, and talent acquisition to ensure solution quality, delivery, and client satisfaction., • Strategise, develop, and deliver impactful client pitches and presentations., • Represent Akkodis at industry events, conferences, and forums — attending, networking, and presenting on behalf of the business., • Facilitate strategic stakeholder meetings, negotiations, and executive-level engagements., • Conduct market analysis to identify emerging opportunities and competitive positioning., • Drive cross-collaboration with other Akkodis business units to leverage synergies and maximise client value., • Ensure governance, compliance, and alignment with Akkodis global standards and objectives. Required Experience • Significant experience in a senior commercial leadership role within ICT, Digital, or Technology services., • Proven success in owning and growing a business unit or large accounts, including P&L responsibility., • Track record of winning new business and developing long-term strategic client partnerships., • Experience leading service transformation programmes (e.g., moving from T&M to outcome-based or managed service models)., • Demonstrated ability to leverage offshore/nearshore delivery centres to drive margin improvement and scalability., • Strong background in client-facing strategy, pitching, and presenting at senior levels., • Prior experience representing a business at external industry events and forums., • Experience managing and developing teams in a consulting, services, or solutions-driven environment., • Strong understanding of ICT & Digital markets, trends, and client demands. Required Education • Bachelor’s degree in Business, ICT, Digital, or related field (or equivalent experience)., • Postgraduate qualification or professional certification in business, leadership, or ICT disciplines is advantageous.
