HGV Class 2 Driver (HIAB/Moffett Training Provided)Location: Cheadle Heath depot (local and national deliveries)Employment: Full-time, permanentLicence: Valid Category C (Class 2), maximum 6 penalty pointsAbout the role Were looking for a reliable Class 2 driver to join our transport team based at our Cheadle Heath depot. Youll carry out collections and deliveries of varied loads across local and national routes in line with customer requirements.Youll receive full training to operate HIAB and Moffett-equipped vehicles. This is a hands-on role where safety, care of load, and great customer service matter.Key responsibilities Safely operate Class 2 vehicles for multi-drop and trunking work, locally and nationwide.Complete company-provided training to operate HIAB cranes and Moffett (truck-mounted forklift) equipment; use equipment in line with training and site rules.Secure all loads using straps and appropriate restraints; perform pre- and post-trip checks.Plan and navigate suitable routes, adhering to traffic laws, bridge heights/weights, and local restrictions.Complete delivery/collection paperwork and electronic PODs accurately.Communicate professionally with customers, traffic office, and depot teams.Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report defects promptly.What were looking for Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence with no more than 6 points.Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.Sound knowledge of UK road network, drivers hours, and Working Time Directive.Ability to secure varied loads safely and follow safe systems of work.Positive attitude, good timekeeping, and customer-focused approach.Desirable: Experience with HIAB or Moffett (not essential full training provided).What we offer Competitive pay (dependant on experience).Overtime opportunities and allowances as applicable.Fully funded HIAB and Moffett training and ongoing refresher training.Company pension, holidays, and standard benefits (Confirmed on interview).Stable, friendly team.Work pattern Base: Cheadle Heath/ Cheadle Hulme.Typical hours: (e.g., MondayFriday, early starts; occasional weekends by arrangement.Mix of local and national work; nights out may be required .Compliance and safety Commitment to all traffic laws, site rules, and company safety procedures.Accurate tachograph use and adherence to drivers hours/WTD.Right to work in the UK.How to apply Send your CV (or brief work history and licence details) to [email/contact] or send to Please include:Current licence status (points, CPC, Digi card)HIAB/Moffett experience (if any)Availability and preferred start dateEqual opportunities: We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and are committed to a fair, inclusive recruitment process.TPBN1_UKTJ
