Civil Infrastructure Engineer (Highways & Drainage Design) Dudley, West Midlands Salary up to £35,000 Are you a skilled Civil Infrastructure Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Join a growing consultancy team in Dudley and play a key role in delivering high-quality highways and drainage designs across a diverse range of development projects. The Role As a Civil Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of highways and drainage schemes for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Working within an experienced and supportive team, you'll contribute to projects from concept through to construction. Key Responsibilities of this civil infrastructure engineer role include: • Design of highways in accordance with relevant standards (e.g. Section 38, Section 278) * Preparation of drainage strategies and detailed drainage design (including SuDS) * Production of technical drawings, specifications, and design calculations * Liaising with local authorities, statutory consultees, and clients * Supporting planning applications and technical approvals * Attending project and client meetings About You: • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline * Experience in highways and drainage design within a consultancy environment * Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage) * Working knowledge of UK design standards and approval processes * Strong communication and organisational skills * Progressing towards or already achieved professional chartership (ICE or similar) desirable What They Offer • Competitive salary and benefits package * Clear progression pathway within a growing consultancy * Exposure to varied and technically interesting projects * Support towards professional development and chartership * Friendly, collaborative working environment This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious civil infrastructure engineer to develop their career within a forward-thinking consultancy based in Dudley.
