My client is currently looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join their team in Manchester The successful candidate will be an integral part of the client experience, with the opportunity to attend client meetings alongside technical work. The Paraplanning role is varied and you will have exposure to different areas of financial planning. The Role: • Work as part of a team assisting the Financial Planner in managing clients’ planning needs and solutions., • Be an additional point of contact when the Financial Planner is not available and develop relationships of trust with clients., • Attend client meetings with the Financial Planner on occasion, to broaden your understanding of the advisory process and strengthen relationships with clients., • Take responsibility for the timely drafting of client reason-why letters., • Assist the Financial Planner in assessing and researching options and solutions for clients., • Handle other administrative duties promptly, including letters, new client take-on forms, preparation of advisory correspondence/annual reviews, and assisting with proposal preparation., • React to all client-related enquiries in a timely manner and maintain a record of responses., • Deal with insurance companies, as required, to obtain client policy information or new illustrations and product information., • Check that new business and client files are compliant, • Work closely with the Financial Planning support team and delegate administrative work as required., • Maintain and update your knowledge through continual professional development (CPD) and examinations, where suitable. About You: • A keen interest in, and a good understanding of, the Wealth Management and financial planning industries., • Experience working within the financial services sector, ideally for a wealth management firm or financial advisory practice with an HNW client base., • FCA approved Level 4 RDR compliant qualification in financial planning or equivalent., • Familiarity with the fund management, professional advisory, IFA or life company industry., • Good understanding of Intelliflo Office and The Exchange., • Professional, organised and motivated self-starter., • Presentable with a client-facing demeanour. The phrase "work-life balance" has been around for years now. After all, you're a conscientious person, not someone who needs to be micro-managed.\n \n You'll work on a team of nine administrators under a Team Leader. You'll process new business, prepare meeting packs and deal with LoAs/providers for typically 3 IFAs within your pod. But your team leader will make sure each day that no one team has too much on. You can be sure that work will be distributed elsewhere rather than you having to battle on.\n \n Salary is to c£31,000 and there's 27 days holiday.
