The Pivotal Role: As VP of SEO - Strategy, you will act as the strategic lead across our portfolio, ensuring our work reflects how humans seek information across search engines, LLMs, social search, and emerging answer platforms. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Direction • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies across the full client portfolio., • Oversee strategic direction for SEO and wider discovery activity, reflecting search realities across all modern platforms., • Elevate thinking by embedding behavioural science and audience insights into all strategies during account reviews., • Collaborate with the Innovation Lead to enhance strategies using AI (e.g., GEO optimisation, conversational search insights)., • Deliver holistic strategies by working closely with Paid Media, Content, Digital PR, and Strategy Director leads., • Introduce new channels, testing frameworks, and Total Search experiment designs. Commercial Growth & Marketing • Identify and shape upsell and cross-sell opportunities across all agency services (Paid, Organic, PR, etc.)., • Manage SEO involvement in new business activity, including RFPs, proposals, scoping, and pitching., • Represent the agency at key industry events to build relationships and new business pipelines. Team & Department Development • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to SEO account managers., • Lead the development of Strategy as a core pillar, with a roadmap for growing a Search Strategy function., • Encourage curiosity, experimentation, and collaboration across SEO, Paid, Behavioural Science, and Creative teams., • Work in close partnership with the Strategy Director on new business efforts., • Work in close partnership with the Growth team on identifying opportunities for SEO account growth.
