Location: The Foundry Pub, Chichester Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible shifts including evenings & weekends) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About Us The Foundry Pub in Chichester is a vibrant, welcoming venue known for quality food, great drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere. We pride ourselves on delivering freshly prepared dishes using quality ingredients, alongside excellent customer service. We are looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team and help maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with our menu and specifications Ensure consistent portion control and minimal food wastage Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen Follow all food safety and health & safety regulations Assist with stock control, ordering, and stock rotation (FIFO) Work effectively as part of a team during busy service periods Support menu development and contribute creative ideas where appropriate Ensure all dishes are prepared and served within agreed timeframes Requirements Previous experience as a Chef or Line Cook in a pub, restaurant, or similar environment Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred) Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen Strong organisational and time-management skills Team player with a positive attitude Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Staff meals while on shift Opportunity for career progression Supportive and friendly working environment Staff discounts Personal Attributes Passion for fresh, quality food High attention to detail Reliable and punctual Calm and professional under pressure
