Owen Reed is looking for an experienced Paralegal for a top law firm in London. We are working with a highly respected private family office to recruit a second Paralegal to support legal matters relating to the Indian subcontinent. This role is primarily based in London and offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the principal, UK legal teams, and external counsel across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will be an experienced legal professional with strong academic credentials, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex legal matters independently in a fast-paced and confidential environment. The Role The Paralegal will provide comprehensive legal administrative and coordination support for matters relating to the Indian subcontinent. You will work closely with the UK legal team and external lawyers, supporting litigation, dispute resolution, corporate, finance, investment, and contractual matters. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, strong legal knowledge, and the ability to liaise confidently with multiple stakeholders across jurisdictions and time zones. Key Responsibilities • Act as the primary point of contact for all legal service providers concerning the Indian subcontinent, • Coordinate between UK-based legal teams, Indian counsel, principals, and related stakeholders, • Conduct legal research and collate relevant documentation and information, • Draft, review, and prepare legal documentation and correspondence, • Maintain and organise legal files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance, • Liaise with lawyers, clients, beneficiaries, and third parties to gather information and provide updates, • File legal documents with courts and administrative bodies as required, • Provide administrative support including scheduling, calendar management, and correspondence handling, • Assist external law firms and legal advisers as required, • Highly diligent with exceptional attention to detail, • Proactive self-starter with the ability to manage workload independently, • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, • Strong organisational and time-management abilities, • Comfortable working across cultures and international time zones, • Technologically savvy and confident using legal and office technology, • Bachelor’s degree (minimum), • Legal qualification (LLB, LLM, LPC, GDL or equivalent), • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant (5+ years preferred), • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, • Experience supporting litigation and dispute resolution is advantageous, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), • Proficiency in Apple devices (iPhone, MacBook, iPad), • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure environment, • Understanding of the strategic and business implications of legal matters
