The Role To support the business’s ambitious plans for growth, KRG is seeking to appoint a Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new customers to ensure the continuation and execution of the organisation's diversification strategy, into other industrial sectors. By identifying and following up on key non-oil & gas opportunities, new business possibilities and additional revenue streams, the individual will contribute heavily to the growth of the organisation. The Sales Manager will work closely with the Executive Management Team and other members of the operational and sales team in the generation and management of a sustainable pipeline of new orders work that reflects the current and anticipated business strategy. This will be achieved through client engagement, key account management, engagement with key stakeholders and potential partner organisations with subsequent action plans to convert opportunities into orders. Due to the diverse locations potential clients may reside across the UK, the appointee must be willing and prepared to travel extensively and operate somewhat autonomously as they strive to strategically identify and develop new opportunities for the business. Key Responsibilities • Creating and implementing growth strategies and business plans for the development of profitable new business streams that maintain and grow a sustainable presence on behalf of the company in existing and target areas., • Building and nurturing senior level relationships with customers and actively strengthen networks with potential strategic partners and decision makers., • Ensuring the business is positioned appropriately commercially, operationally and technically to take advantage of all business opportunities the company identifies and pursues., • Acquiring and continuing to develop a comprehensive understanding of your full range of services and capabilities and convey to customers any new developments which promote the company's brand for quality service and delivery., • Constantly monitoring market trading conditions and customer specific strategic and operational factors to ensure that current and reliable market intelligence is procured upon which sound business judgements can be based., • Formulating and delivering sales and business development forecasts, goals and objectives, operating to agreed business plans, budgets and targets., • As a key player on Sales team, assuming responsibility along with colleagues for devising and shaping future strategy and direction and contributing to the ongoing development of the business., • Building and maintaining excellent relationships internally, working closely with colleagues ensuring current business performance is optimised, standards of customer service enhanced, and new opportunities fully exploited., • Adopting a 'no surprises' approach to reporting and communication with Senior Management and prepared to contribute significantly to strategic discussions in a constructive and proactive manner., • Drive innovation to ensure provision of market leading, relevant and highly targeted solutions to clients. Candidate Profile • A demonstrable track record in developing relationships with new customers in different industrial sectors leading to significant sales success., • Active network in one or more of the relevant sectors where growth potential exists – mining, general engineering, marine, renewables, energy, food industry., • An opportunistic mindset and ability to quickly promote realisation of opportunities in relevant market sectors., • Passion for sales, a self-starter, high energy and strong internal and external communication skills., • Ability to work autonomously and strategically., • Experience of hands on sales and commercial negotiation in an industrial sector., • Experience of managing customer accounts.
