Trade Operative Paignton £33,049 - £34,788 per year 40 hours per week We have an opportunity for a Trade Operative to join our voids team based in Paignton. The successful candidate will be qualified / skilled in Carpentry. The role will cover EX, TA and TQ post codes and will involve a mixture of team and lone working. Due to the nature of the role, you will share a company van.. The role of Trade Operative will include: • Carrying out carpentry duties in line with contract specifications and building regulations, • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed, • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed, • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer, • To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications.Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted, • Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation, • Excellent customer service and communication skills, • Ability to priorities workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead We provide in-house repairs and maintenance for a wide range of properties, as part of a not-for-profit organisation.
