Aftersales Manager Location: Torbay, Devon Salary: £37,500–£40,000 Basic + Bonus (OTE £50,000) Full Time | Permanent Overview We are seeking an experienced Aftersales Manager to lead and develop our service and parts operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving customer satisfaction, workshop efficiency, profitability, and team performance while maintaining high operational standards. Key Responsibilities • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Service and Parts departments., • Lead, motivate, and develop service advisors, technicians, and parts personnel., • Drive aftersales revenue and profitability through effective planning and performance management., • Monitor and improve workshop productivity, efficiency, and labour sales., • Ensure excellent customer service and retention levels., • Handle customer concerns and resolve escalated issues professionally., • Maintain compliance with manufacturer standards, health & safety requirements, and company policies., • Analyse KPIs and implement action plans to improve performance., • Manage departmental budgets and control costs., • Recruit, train, and develop team members where required.Key Performance Indicators, • Customer Satisfaction Scores (CSI), • Labour sales and gross profit, • Parts sales performance, • Workshop efficiency and utilisation, • Service retention rates, • Departmental profitabilityCandidate RequirementsEssential, • Previous experience as an Aftersales Manager, Service Manager, or Senior Service Leader within the automotive sector., • Strong leadership and people management skills., • Proven track record of achieving departmental targets., • Excellent customer service and communication skills., • Commercial awareness and financial understanding., • Full UK driving licence.Desirable, • Main dealer experience., • Experience working with manufacturer standards and audits., • Knowledge of dealer management systems (DMS).Benefits, • Basic salary of £37,500–£40,000., • Realistic OTE of £50,000., • Company pension scheme., • Employee discounts., • Ongoing training and development., • Career progression opportunities.
