Due to growing demand in high-profile nuclear programmes, we are recruiting Cost Engineers to support a client playing a transformative role in the UK energy sector. This role will contribute to cost control and performance reporting on complex projects, ensuring accurate budget tracking and decision-ready insights. Hybrid working arrangements - 3 days client site. Key Responsibilities • Develop cost control structures and map estimates to Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Planning Packages, and Control Accounts, • Establish project control budgets and monitor actual costs, accruals, and commitments against those baselines, • Implement and report Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics including ETC (Estimate to Complete) and EAC (Estimate at Completion), • Adhere to NEC or FIDIC contract frameworks throughout cost reporting and control activities, • Monitor project contingency, track change control, and analyse cost trends to inform decision-making, • Support forecasting, cost capture alignment (Work Orders, Purchase Orders), and manage subcontract cost data integration, • Prepare cost information for emerging changes and support cost implications documentation What You’ll Bring • Professional project controls experience specializing in Cost Engineering/Control across the project lifecycles, • Strong capability in Excel and familiarity with cost systems such as SAP, Oracle, interfacing between corporate finance and project tools, • Ability to define, implement, and maintain cost procedures and standards for projects or programmes, • Eligible for BPSS-level security clearance, • Membership in APM, PMI, or similar professional body is advantageous, • Effective communication, analytical, stakeholder management, and research skills; motivated to work in the nuclear sector What’s On Offer • Opportunity to influence cost control on one of the UK's flagship nuclear energy infrastructure programmes, • Flexible, hybrid working arrangements supporting a healthy work–life balance, • Long-term career development opportunities within a forward-thinking energy and resources team
