Qualified Occupational Therapist needed in Bromley\n\nLocation: Bromley\n\nWorking Pattern: On Site \n\nContract Type: Temp / Ad‑hoc \n\nWe are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide specialist support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across primary, secondary, and post‑16 settings in Bromley. The role involves delivering high‑quality occupational therapy assessments, intervention planning, and functional recommendations that promote participation, independence, and access to learning. You will work collaboratively with schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive effective, holistic support tailored to their developmental and educational needs.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nConduct specialist OT assessments for students with a range of SEN, including autism, developmental delays, sensory needs, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties.\nDevelop evidence‑based intervention plans to support functional skills, sensory regulation, motor development, and engagement in school routines.\nProvide clear written recommendations for EHCPs, annual reviews, and school‑based support plans.\nCollaborate with teachers, SENCOs, families, and MDT professionals to ensure integrated, student‑centred support.\nDeliver targeted interventions individually or in small groups across primary to post‑16 settings.\nMaintain accurate clinical documentation in line with safeguarding, GDPR, and professional standards. \n\nRequirements\n\nBSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy.\nHCPC registration (essential).\nMinimum 2 years' experience working with children and young people with SEND.\nExperience supporting students across primary, secondary, or post‑16 education.\nStrong assessment, clinical reasoning, and report‑writing skills.\nEnhanced DBS on the Update Service.\nProfessional indemnity & public liability insurance.Desirable\n\nMembership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).\nExperience in mainstream, specialist, or alternative provision settings.\nKnowledge of sensory integration, autism, neurodevelopmental conditions, or physical disabilities.\nExperience delivering training or workshops to school staff or families.Additional Information\n\nConsultancy position with flexible working.\nTravel to schools/settings may be required.\nAll safeguarding and vetting checks must be completed prior to starting.Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
