Role: Plumber \n Location:South Croydon and surrounding areas \n Salary: £38,000 - £38,325 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card \n Role Summary \n We are currently seeking an experienced Plumber to join a well-established maintenance team, carrying out reactive and planned plumbing repairs within occupied social housing properties across South Croydon and the surrounding areas. \n This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Plumber who enjoys a varied workload and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Working across a portfolio of domestic properties, you'll play an important role in ensuring residents' homes are safe, well-maintained and plumbing issues are resolved efficiently. \n The role is field-based, covering South Croydon and nearby areas, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling between properties throughout the working day. \n The Role \n As a Plumber, you'll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of plumbing repairs and maintenance works within occupied and void social housing properties. You'll work independently whilst being part of a supportive and established maintenance team. \n Typical duties will include: \n\n • Diagnosing and repairing plumbing faults and leaks\n, • Repairing and replacing taps, valves, toilets, sinks and sanitaryware\n, • Carrying out repairs to baths, showers and associated fittings\n, • Unblocking sinks, toilets and waste pipes\n, • Repairing and replacing pipework where required\n, • Carrying out repairs to hot and cold-water systems\n, • Replacing faulty plumbing components and fittings\n, • Completing general maintenance and making-good works\n, • Carrying out minor multi-trade tasks where required\n, • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently and safely\n, • Maintaining excellent customer service when working in residents' homes\n, • Using a PDA or job management system to receive and update works completed\n\n What We're Looking For \n We're looking for someone who is reliable, customer-focused and takes pride in the quality of their work. \n You will have: \n\n • Previous experience working as a Plumber within social housing, maintenance or repairs environments\n, • Strong knowledge of domestic plumbing systems\n, • Experience carrying out reactive repairs within occupied properties\n, • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively\n, • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail\n, • A professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with residents\n, • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads\n\n Essential Requirements \n\n • Full UK Driving Licence\n, • Proven experience working as a Plumber or Plumbing Multi-Trader\n, • Ability to travel across South Croydon and surrounding areas\n, • Comfortable using handheld devices or PDAs\n, • Eligible to work in the UK (proof required)\n, • DBS check (or willingness to undertake one if required)\n\n Benefits \n\n • £38,000 - £38,325 salary depending on experience\n, • Company van & fuel card\n, • Consistent, long-term work\n, • Supportive and established maintenance team\n, • Varied workload across residential properties\n, • Opportunities for training and career development\n, • Stable, permanent position with ongoing work\n, • Holiday entitlement and company benefits package\n\n If you're an experienced Plumber looking for a long-term opportunity where your skills will make a real difference to residents' homes, we'd love to hear from you. \n For more information or to apply, please contact Sommer on .
