SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant - PMLD & Complex Needs Wirral£90 - £100 per dayFull-time & Part-time Available We are currently recruiting for SEN Specialist Teaching Assistants to support pupils with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and complex needs in a specialist SEN setting. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism, complex medical needs, physical disabilities, sensory needs and communication difficulties. Some pupils require personal care, mobility support and 1:1 support throughout the school day. This is a highly rewarding role and would suit candidates with experience in: • SEN schools, • Care work, • Support work, • Residential care, • Nursing homes, • Autism support, • Behaviour support, • Personal care rolesThe Role, • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, • Assisting with personal care, • Supporting pupils with mobility and physical needs, • Supporting communication and sensory activities, • Working closely with teachers and therapists, • Helping create a safe, supportive learning environmentRequirements, • Experience supporting children or adults with SEN, PMLD or complex needs, • Patient, calm and caring nature, • Team Teach or moving & handling training desirable (not essential), • Comfortable supporting with personal care desireable (not essential), • DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)What We Offer, • Competitive daily pay, • Long-term and permanent opportunities, • Free training (Safeguarding, SEN training, CPD accredited courses), • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
