We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and support large CNC and manual milling machinery across the UK. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can hit the ground running with minimal training and travel regularly, including occasional overseas work. Description Key Responsibilities • Install, maintain and fault-find on large CNC and manual milling machinery., • Deliver reactive and preventative maintenance across customer sites nationwide., • Access machinery safely, including working at height and entering machine pits., • Support engineering best practice, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety requirements., • Identify potential service opportunities while on site and represent the business professionally., • Travel across the UK (from South Wales to the Scottish border) and occasionally overseas for 2-3 week periods. The Successful Candidate • Experienced working on large machine tools, including CNC and manual milling machinery., • Strong mechanical fitting and diagnostic skills, with ability to interpret mechanical, hydraulic and electrical schematics., • Competent in gearbox assembly, bevel gear meshing and machine tool alignment., • Holds a recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (preferred)., • Comfortable travelling, staying away from home and working across varied customer environments., • Strong communicator with excellent organisation, problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude., • Full UK driving licence (clean preferred).
