Location: Manchester\n Pay Rate: £19.77 per hour\n Benefits: Company van + fuel card supplied\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join our social housing maintenance team covering properties across Manchester. This role focuses on delivering high-quality internal and external painting, decorating, and finishing works in occupied and void domestic properties. You'll play an essential part in maintaining homes to a safe, comfortable, and modern standard for residents.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out planned and reactive painting and decorating tasks across social housing stock.\nPrepare surfaces including sanding, filling, patch repairs, and sealant work.\nApply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and protective coatings to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces.\nComplete responsive maintenance tasks following tenant reports or scheduled refurbishment works.\nMaintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.\nWork efficiently in both occupied and void properties with sensitivity to residents' needs.\nEnsure all work is completed to a high standard, following health and safety regulations.\nAccurately record work completed using mobile devices or job sheets.\nCommunicate professionally with tenants, supervisors, and team members.\n\nRequirements\n\nProven experience as a Painter & Decorator-preferably within social housing or domestic settings.\nStrong knowledge of surface preparation, paint systems, and application methods.\nAbility to work independently and manage your own workload.\nGood customer service and communication skills.\nFull UK driving licence (company van supplied).\nNVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating or City & Guilds \nBasic understanding of health and safety in residential environments.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n£19.77 per hour\nCompany van and fuel card supplied\nLong-term, stable work within a respected housing provider\nSupportive team environment
